Services
I use equipment that is designed specifically for a home visit. This includes the lenses and an illuminated chart - just like in the practice - and instruments to measure your existing glasses, check the eye health and measure the eye pressure. When you first contact me I will take some basic details like your date of birth, when you last had your eyes examined and as to whether you are having any problems.
In order to qualify for a mobile National Health Service funded eye examination you must be either housebound or unable to attend a practice unaccompanied. In most cases, all the paperwork is carried out by myself - you do not have to claim costs back from the NHS yourself. I can still visit you at home even if you are not entitled to an NHS eye examination, however there would be a charge of 60.00 for the eye test.
With almost 30 years experience in the profession, I understand the concerns that people naturally have over their eyes and vision and that of their friends or relatives. It is very important to me that my patients, and their families and carers, are happy with the level of care and service that I provide.
