Services
Please provide details of all previous employment. Please give the most recent employer first and account for any gaps in your employment history. You may continue on a separate sheet or overleaf, if necessary. Please give the names and addresses of two people to whom we may write for references, one of which should be your current or last employer, if applicable.
It is a fact of life that funding is at the centre of the care system in the UK and this issue above all others causes the greatest concerns. If you do need to go into a residential home, or you need support at home, there are many ways that you might get help towards paying the fees. The Local Authority may pay some of the cost and you may be able to claim extra Social Security benefits.
Sheffcare is a registered charity, operating in Sheffield and serving the needs of over 1000 older people. The company began operating as a not for profit company in 1994, when a number of care homes were transferred out of local authority ownership into the ownership of the company. The organisational vision was to secure the provision of services and provide high quality care for older people in Sheffield at the lowest possible price.
Sheffcare is a registered charity which has a Board of Non-Executive Board Members. The Board is responsible for ensuring that the charity is run in line with the Sheffcare values. The Trustees work alongside our Executive team to agree the strategic direction of the charity and to ensure policies, plans and resources are in place to achieve strategic objectives and monitor progress against them to help promote the continuous growth of Sheffcare.

My father received excellent care at Grange Crescent for the three and half years he lived there until he died. He often said he felt like he was living in a hotel, and that the carers were all lovely and the food was superb. I can’t thank the company and staff enough for the quality of care he received.

The trustees here are clueless and do not have the relevant skills to run the place.
