Services
Nightingale is run by our super efficient, wonderfully compassionate Home Manager, Julie Wright, who has joined Nightingale to lead it in its quest for excellence in all areas. Our outstanding care team are also dedicated and highly qualified; all have completed NVQ levels 2 or 3. We insist on a high standard of care, so our employees are carefully selected for their qualities of reliability, integrity, skill, friendliness and professionalism.
At Nightingale, we aim to provide an exceptionally high level of care and to ensure that each resident is treated with utmost respect, their privacy protected and their dignity preserved. Our goal is to support individuality and independence and to encourage our residents to exercise choice in all aspects of their care.
The prime objective of our home is to promote and foster health and wellbeing. On admission of each resident, an assessment of need is performed by a senior member of the care team, from which a Care Plan is created. Residents, their relatives and doctors are offered and encouraged to participate in the drafting of their Care Plan.
Nightingale is well known for its superb restaurant reputation. Our cook's marvellous culinary skills translate into delectable gourmet meals every day of the week. We offer an extensive, nutritious menu providing variety and choices, according to residents' preferences. Meals are served in our elegant restaurant style dining room and are always appetising and well presented.
Residents can relax in our plush, restful and stylishly arranged sitting room. A cosy fireplace together with the display of lovely pictures, ornaments and flower arrangements add to the inviting and homely feel. A scenic view of the charming landscaped garden and the open fields beyond can be seen through the patio doors and windows.

It was obvious as soon as we met the carers that this was a well run place where the carers think highly of the management and said it was a good place to work. That is so important in a care home, to make sure that the staff remain motivated We didn’t ask mum how well the carers were doing, but every time we went to see her she always said how lovely the staff were to her.
