Forest Edge highly values each of their residents, their families, and their loved ones. We treat all our residents as individuals, appreciating that all people with dementia have a unique history, identity, personality as well as physical, psychological and social resources, and that these will affect their response to cognitive impairment.
We look at the world from the perspective of the person with dementia; recognising that each person's experience has its own psychological Validity, that people with dementia act from this perspective and that empathy with this perspective has its own therapeutic potential.

Services
Forest Edge Care Home is a privately owned, 32 bed residential care home; specialising in the care of those living with dementia, Alzheimer's and other cognitive impairments. Set on the outskirts of the New Forest, we are set in a prime location especially as we are located directly opposite Cadnam Garden Centre.
All our residents are registered under Testvale Surgery in Totton. In 2014 the NHS set out 'umbrella' surgeries, designed for care homes to be managed by one practice rather than numerous surgeries. Our registered GP is Dr Robinson who makes regular visits to the Home. Dr Robinson has allotted her Wednesday mornings to Forest Edge to complete a 'ward round' each week.
