Services
Laurel Care Home is registered with the Care Quality Commission to provide high-quality residential, nursing, respite and palliative care to 60 residents in spacious individual rooms with en-suite facilities. Since every prospective resident is assessed prior to moving in we can completely tailor our care levels to the needs of each individual.
Residential care is for people who may need some assistance with day to day tasks such as washing, dressing, healthy & nutritious meals prepared for them and could benefit from some socialisation. Residential Care is a great fit for families who are worried about their loved ones living on their own and would sleep better knowing there are qualified care assistants available 24-hours a day if needed.
Respite care or short stay care allows families, carers and individuals a temporary care solution as and when it's needed. This type of care may be needed if someone needs round the clock medical attention after a hospital stay or during recovery from a procedure; it may also be needed for those who look after their loved ones or who employ home carers who need a break.
Nursing care is for people who require assistance with medical needs as well as personal living needs 24-hours a day. The needs of the individual are unique to their condition and circumstances and may include physical disabilities, long term health conditions, rehabilitation care and in some cases a mixture of all three.
Palliative care also referred to as end of life care, is for individuals who are suffering from a serious illness that is often accompanied by painful, uncomfortable and stressful symptoms. This type of care is carried out by highly trained medical specialists who aim to reduce these symptoms, improve quality of life and provide a comfortable environment for you and your loved one.
