Rowan House is a small, friendly Care Home established in 1991 by the current owners Roger and Angela Hurley. Angela is the registered manager and has successfully run the home ever since. Located in Shirley, a quiet residential suburb of Southampton, we are close to Southampton Common, Shirley Shopping Centre and a short bus ride from Southampton City Centre, the Train Station and Southampton Airport.
Rowan House is a beautiful detached Edwardian property which was formerly a Guest House for theatrical folk, such as the Two Ronnies, who were performing at the Southampton Mayflower theatre. In 1990, we extended and converted the house, retaining the character and ambience of the original, providing a comfortable and spacious home for our Residents.

My mother has been in the home for just over two weeks. When I walked into the home it felt like home very welcoming. All the staff are friendly and helpful. I was unable to visit my mother for a couple weeks but the difference in her when I did see her was amazing. She was well cared for I could see at a glance. She had settled well and I know she is in safe hands
