Lovely stay with Tom & Rowena – nothing too much bother, made to feel really welcome. Greeted us by name every time we saw them took a genuine interest in how our day had gone – makes all the difference to know you are a valued guest not just a number. Rooms are lovely, well decorated, immaculately clean. Breakfast was also excellent, something for everyone with self-service cereal, yoghurt, fruit and juice area to the varied hot food options made to order all locally sourced. As well freshly homemade sourdough bread everyday. Although not in the very centre the public transport makes this

We had a great time at the Sheridan Guest House. The hosts (Tom & Rowena) were wonderful and really friendly. Our room had everything we needed, including en-suite. The breakfast was delicious with impeccable service. Commute into city center was good as there was a bus station right across from the street. Everything was exceptional. We would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Edinburgh. Thank you Tom and Rowena for you amazing hospitality.

We have just come back from a two night stay at the Sheridan guest house and what a lovely find. The hosts Tom & Rowena are really nice and could not be more welcoming or helpful. The Guesthouse is lovely and the room we had was perfect with a good selection of tea’s and coffee in the room and plenty of shampoos and body wash etc in the bathroom. My one worry on arrival was that the room faced quite a busy road but this turned out to be no problem at all, the traffic goes by quite slowly so minimum noise and the road goes quiet in the early evening. The breakfast selection is very good and would

We recently completed a tour of Scotland where we stayed in various guest houses over the course of a week. Tom and Rowena were in a league by themselves in terms of the quality of our stay with them. The cleanliness, comfort, and hospitality were exceptional. They made us feel so welcome, and by the time we left, it felt like we were saying goodbye to friends. I don't want to stay anywhere else when I go back to Edinburgh.

This Bed and Breakfast top drawer in every way. From the English garden entry to the thoughtfully appointed rooms, and the charming welcome of your hosts, your stay is perfect in every way . However, don't trust Google Maps listen carefully to the directions you're given and you will arrive without confusion .

An excellent choice
We did spend a few days at Sheridan Guest House, it was a real treat. Bed & Breakfast as its best. Good location, however a but distant from the center (bus available right outside) excellent breakfast, wonderful host, very nice room. All in all very satisfiying experience.

The Sheridan Guest House is an excellent choice for accommodations when in Edinburgh. The owners/proprietors are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are nice-sized and immaculately clean. The beds are comfortable and the linens are very good quality. The location is a little off the beaten path, but that appealed to us. It's located directly across the street from the Graham Street stop on the #11 bus so transportation is easy.
The most impressive part of your stay will be the food and friendliness of the owners. They memorize the names of all guests so they can address you warmly. They

I stayed at the Sheridan Guest House for five nights and enjoyed every minute. My room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. I enjoyed a homemade cookie with my cup of tea. Rowena's breakfast is the best, I really liked her omelette and the bread she made herself. Getting into the city is fairly easy as the bus stop is across the street and three buses run regularly. It's also really close to the Water of Leith Walk. All in all I could not have wished for a better first stay in Scotland!

This was my very first BnB experience and I would say Tom and Rowena really did set the bar high. They were really nice and warm hosts and made me feel very welcomed. The room was well equipped with coffee, tea, hot chocolate and bathing amenities as well. Not forgetting the exceptional breakfast cooked by Rowena that was absolutely delicious. Will definitely recommend to stay here for any trips to Edinburgh.

Possibly the best guest house I've ever stayed in - and I travel a lot! Such warm welcoming people, comfortable and beautifully decorated rooms, delicious food (home made bread, cookies the lot!). Going above… and beyond to make your stay wonderful. I was up for the marathon and when our taxi didn't arrive, they gave us a lift to the start line! I highly recommend this place. Next time I visit Edinburgh, I'm booking here for certain. Thank you Sheridan!

I stayed at Sheridan's long long time ago. 2004, if I'm not mistaken. This stay and the super welcoming and friendly atmosphere and service there were absolutely remarkable to me. Lovely place and owners, indeed. I wonder if the owners are still the same since then... Thank you, guys!

I stayed at this B&B in May 2014.
Ok, the good things first: the people running this place are very nice and helpful. The House itself has a nice ambience and the breakfast is great! But here comes the dealbreaker: the rooms! The rooms are quite small. The bathroom attached to the room is even smaller. To be honest, in this price range the size of the bathroom is unacceptable! It might be ok for a submarine, but not for a room costing 85£ (140$ / 108EUR).

Second dealbreaker: The quality of the windows in our room was very low, we had a constant current of cold air coming in. We were freezing
