Castle Park Guest House is a contemporary take on a traditional Edinburgh Victorian townhouse. A place where classic meets modern and where a homely feel gets a touch of elegance and luxury. Scottish culture and our own experiences when travelling have influenced the design of the guest rooms with stylish furnishings, soft fabrics and elegant finishes complementing the original features of the house.
Modern comforts and a touch of history add to the warmth and personality of the rooms. Our aim is to create a friendly welcoming home away from home, where you can relax, unwind and enjoy all that Scotland's capital city has to offer. We are taking the opportunity offered by the current temporary closure to undertake renovations.

Services
We started our bed and breakfast story in Spain where we ran a small boutique hotel in a colonial building in the quaint town of Sitges. We now own and run Castle Park Guest House in Edinburgh. We fell in love with this beautiful city while living in and visiting it at different points in our lives.
When we bought and refurbished Castle Park, we knew we wanted to build a business we could be really proud of, and for us that meant finding ways to be environmentally responsible. We used the time during lockdown in 2020-21 to completely refurbish the premises. This gave us the perfect opportunity to make the running of the house more energy efficient.
At Castle Park we have seven guest rooms. All guest rooms are located upstairs on the first or second floor of the house. The interiors are an elegant and contemporary take on traditional Scottish hospitality, where top-quality touches like hand-crafted mattresses, Egyptian cotton bed linen and Scottish Fine Soaps toiletries add to the air of refined luxury.
Book with us directly for the best prices and a complimentary refreshment on your arrival. For cancellations made within 7 days of your check-in date, or if you don't arrive on that date, we reserve the right to charge for the total amount of the booking. Please note that all bookings are subject to the terms and conditions/policies set out on our website.
Local bus services - You can take a number 10 or 27 bus (going towards Tollcross) right to our door from the city centre. Get off the bus at the Leamington Terrace stop (the 2nd stop on Gilmore Place) and walk back a few metres to get to the Guest House (75 Gilmore Place). Many other bus services run near to the house, so please contact us if you need further information.

David and Ian were fantastic! We were welcomed to Champagne on arrival, shown the best places to check out around town and then our room. It was stunning.
The whole Guest House had been revamped in the last year and the attention to detail shows how much care the hosts put into the place.
All New Year's Eve celebrations were cancelled due to the Pandemic, so it left us as the only people there. David and Ian upgraded us to the bigger room for no extra charge. A stunning room; the shower was big enough for an entire family (and dog!).
Home-made bread and freshly baked croissants were provided

Amazing room with fantastice finishing touches. Breakfast was perfect and filling and really set us up for the day. But the best part of our stay was the service; Ian and David were so friendly, accomodating and welcoming. We would definitely recomend anyone to stay here and if we ever find ourselves in Edinburgh again we will be staying here again without a doubt.

Room was clean and comfortable although it could do with a refurb. There was noise from outside but I guess that’s to do with an older building. Disappointed with breakfast as it clearly states that you serve a cooked breakfast. All we had was cereal and toast although there was ham & cheese available. We were in room 5 and there was problems with lighting above mirror and access to plug sockets was not very easy!

The lady who was managing the place was excellent. The room however had many bulbs blown metal nail heads sticking out of the floor. The airvents were open but unreachable and so the room was very cold through the night. Beds were hard the duvets didn't have covers on them pillows were awful and lumpy. The glass on the round table was slipping on and off as my kids sat and drew pictures (safety hazard) Whoever I phoned for assistance didn't seem too bothered about me calling to make payment I was just told a time some one would arrive to take it. I did message her as nobody shower at the time but
