We offer childcare in Portslade. We have been providing quality early years childcare for children aged 2 - 5 years old for over 40 years. The nursery is staffed by qualified, experienced staff who work with families to settle children so they are happy and secure, so they learn and have lots of fun at our pre-school.

Services
Southern Cross Pre-school is Ofsted registered and based at Southern Cross Church halls (please note we are not connected to the church we just rent the premises). We have two lovely large halls and a garden. The pre-school is safe and secure allowing children to move freely between all areas. We offer high quality childcare where children learn through play with qualified, experienced, caring and dedicated practitioner's.
Staff will interact with the children so they can extend their learning, communication and social skills. We aim to idenify any special educational needs early so we can put in place any support needed. We always provide support for children and their families. Where English is an additional lanugage.
Non funded hours are the breakfast and lunch sessions if added to the morning session and any additional sessions beyond the funding hours. These are charged at the rates above. If your child receives the 30 hour funding hours these can be used for any sessions including breakfast and lunches at no extra charge.
My eldest boy attended here a few years ago, and I'm very happy my youngest can now attend. Staff are attentive, helpful and dedicated. Lovely to see that there is no staff turnover, the children have the same faces every day. Big bright spacious halls and a separate eating area for them. We have been so happy with the care my daughter has received, and we've really seen her blossom since starting pre-school.
