Our children have weekly outings. Our Forest School Leader teaches them to take risks in a safe and controlled environment. They have opportunities to discover and experience bugs in their natural habitat, and learn about the great outdoors! Outdoor play and activities are an essential part of the day at our nursery.
We encourage energetic play and structured risk taking activities within a safe environment. All of our staff create really strong bonds with the children at our nurseries. Through excellent parental partnership we have developed a two way sharing of information which supports each child in our care.

Growing Up Green Day Nurseries are an established and successful nursery group catering for children aged from birth to five years. Both of our nursery settings hold outstanding Ofsted reports that are available to read on this site and we are constantly striving to maintain and improve our excellent practice.
Our babies are looked after by very caring and experienced staff in a calm and friendly environment. The rooms are bright and spacious and are equipped with a range of stimulating toys. Our babies also have easy access to a home corner and soft play area to help develop their physical skills and imagination.
Growing Up Green is owned and overseen by Adrienne Blackwell and Clare Crosby-Adams. Both are qualified and experienced teachers. Furthermore, before forming a partnership, Adrienne was previously a successful primary school deputy head whilst Clare had owned and managed a children's nursery for many years in Cambridgeshire.
Our children's days are organised in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), a government framework for the care and education of children comprising of the Statutory Framework including the standards for Early Years providers and welfare requirements used for the running of the nursery and planning and development of the setting.
Sue and Heather our fantastic chefs have had many years of catering experience between them. As an integral part of our nurseries they work hard to source organic produce and dishes for the children and are continuously creating new and innovative meals, full of flavours and textures. The proof of the pudding is in the eating and the children really love their food!
