As parents and Early Years Teachers we know how important it is to feel confident about leaving your child in the care of others. At Wise Owls Nursery School we are an education setting where children are encouraged to begin a lifelong love of learning through independent play and planned experiences.
Our lovely and talented members of staff include qualified Teachers, an Artist in Residence and Early Years Educators. They are as passionate about our ethos as we are. Collectively, we have a wealth of knowledge and a variety of creative skills with which we aim to nurture and inspire your children.

Services
Wise Owls is based within a Regency building in the heart of Brighton with an eclectic history. It was the original Buddhist centre in Brighton and the home of The White Eagle Lodge. We make the most out of our beautiful learning environment. The Bluebirds children aged between 3-5 years are able to free flow between The Nest, The Hive and our garden.
We have spaces available for children aged from 9 months to 5 years old and accept Early Years Funding Entitlement for children aged 2 to 4 years. We encourage daily conversations between parents and staff use the online learning journal - Famly. You are also welcome to book a time to discuss anything concerning your child's learning and development.
In Autumn 2019 with the amazing support and fundraising from our wonderful parents we began using the Famly Childcare App, helping us to move towards becoming a paper free nursery. Famly is an online learning journey for your child which will be activated during your child's settling process.
Your child will receive their own profile allowing staff and parents to instantly upload observations and receive updates and messages throughout the day via the app on your phone, tablet or computer.A live activity feed showing activities, photos, observations, food, nappies, sleeps and more. Famly has been a wonderful tool in helping us to develop working in partnership with parents.

During meal times the children come together either in the Treetops hall or in our kitchen. We believe that mealtimes provide an opportunity for children to develop social skills and independence. After positive feedback from our parents we made the decision in Summer 2019 to become a vegetarian and vegan nursery, preparing all food in-house.
Wise Owls Nursery School is fully committed to ensuring all children are kept safe and well and that they are protected from abuse and harm.
We take all necessary steps to ensure staff are well trained and understand their duties, that all staff, students and volunteers are suitable to work with children, and that any concerns about a child's safety or welfare are acted upon without delay, following the Pan Sussex Child Protection and Safeguarding procedures as per the local arrangements of the The Brighton & Hove Safeguarding Children Partnership (BHSCP).

Very impressed with the level of care. I thought my son's previous nursery was pretty good, and expected Wise Owls to be similar, but they've exceeded my expectations. My kid is eager to go in every morning, which is the best testimonial :)
