Services
At Young Friends Nature Nursery, we welcome children of all different ages in all pods. These natural groupings are typical of a family, where children follow, laugh and learn with their siblings and have fun with each other. Providing a pod based on family life offers many benefits to both older and younger children.
Our menu is sustainably sourced and carefully planned to ensure that all children are receiving the perfect balance of taste, nutrition, variety and sustainability. All meals and most snacks from scratch, without sugar and processed products. We caters for all dietary requirements. We use our own knowledge combined with advice and literature from the 'Healthy Early Years' team to ensure that each day is balanced.
We have been with YF for almost 5 years now. Our son started when he was 13 months old. It wasn't our first choice, but the other nursery didn't have spaces at the time. I am so so happy it turned out that way. YF has so much to offer: nature plot, trips by mini bus, sport sessions, yoga etc. etc. Thanks to YF, my son had a great start at school last September.
Our team at Young Friends Nature Nursery provides your child with opportunities to learn to through the natural world. Children communicate confidently about their environment and how to protect it and are encouraged to build their vocabulary and understanding around nature, conservation and recycling.
Our woodland garden is a rare find for a nursery in such an urban neighbourhood. Overflowing with wildlife attracting native plants and trees it is a sanctuary of wellbeing and inspiration. The children can play and hide and use their imaginations whilst gross motor skills are tuned through natural positive risks through different terrains, levels and plants and real jobs to do.

Whilst I do not have children, I do live close to this nursery and due to this I would not recommend sending children here.
This nursery claims to want to be a good neighbour to those who live in the area, however they do not seem to consider the neighbours at all. They have a large van which they seem to insist on parking in the street when they have a perfectly good driveway to park in, and that would fit both of their vehicles. The van takes up two parking spaces on the street that residents could otherwise use.
Any children playing outside who start crying are left for longer than they should

Both my daughters have attended this wonderful establishment. Every day they went, they were excited to go and have learnt lots whilst having fun. The nursery stresses the importance of the environment and our surroundings to the children whilst maintaining goals and achievements, but most importantly enjoying themselves. The garden is incredible, including the guinea pigs. All the staff have been fantastic throughout the years. I am proud to say my children went to Young Friends.
