Our Montessori-trained owner, Kathryn, who is part of the team delivering educational music classes and sessions at Hove Village, was the founder/owner of a well-established and award-winning preschool education company, Caterpillar Music, which taught up to 6,000 children each week across the UK & Europe.Kathryn wrote and developed an entire programme of classes for babies and young children (0-4yrs), developing highly popular classes.

We highly value young children and strongly believe in listening to them; not just their voices but their body language too. We draw our inspiration from a variety of theoretical approaches developed here in the UK as well as influences from further afield. Hove Village Day Nursery is an exciting and unique setting in Hove.

We love to get involved with our local community and we always involve our families too. Hove Village is very involved in the community. We are proud to be the lead sponsor of Wishfest which is a family-friendly festival held each summer in Hove.
Our rooms are small and intimate and are beautifully resourced to inspire the children's curiosity and support their learning opportunities. We have natural materials to create possibilities for the children and foster their imaginative play, as this is where children are truly unique.

We pulled our child from Hove Village following a string of disappointments during a five month period. Unfortunately the advertised, child-first approach the Senior Manager went to great lengths to pitch during a nursery tour was rendered paper thin, falling apart in practice as it became evident that sales and finances appear to take priority over early years learning at Hove Village.
Most nurseries in Hove have very similar facilities but one of our main reasons for choosing Hove Village was the assurance of active involvement of the experienced Senior Manager, risibly described as hands-on

Hove village is absolutely outstanding nursery. My son absolutely adores going. The children a free to chose from a wide range of activities each day as well as regular trips out and lots of different sports classes in the summer. All of the staff seam really experienced and have such lovely bonds with the children. The nursery also have a great app that updates you throughout the day on meals and naps. The staff also upload lots of pictures which are so wonderful to see whist you're at work! I honestly couldn't recommend this nursery enough!

This Nursery has been my home for around 2 and a half years now, this is the most friendly and amazing nursery I have ever worked at! The staff are so friendly and the experiences are always set up so beautifully to the children’s interests.
I will miss Hove Village so much and can’t wait to see them when i visit Brighton.

We started our little boy with Hove Village in October 2020 and despite having problems settling in with the previous nursery which we eventually cancelled due to lockdown he started at Hove Village and the settling sessions were an absolute delight, no crying or screaming. From his second day he was happy to see his key person Hannah and/orKatie and would walk in happily with a smile. They use the Famly app which is amazing and keeps you up to date through out the day when it comes to feeds, nap time and everyday you get lovely photos and videos. I could not recommend them enough, friendly , kind

If you are looking for a nursery for your little one don't look any further as Hove Village is the perfect place for all children. My son was 9 months when he started to go to the nursery. I was really worried as he was so little and it was just after lockdown so he wasn't used to strangers. Yet, it only take a couple of weeks for him to settle in… and it is down to the wonderful care and support he has been getting from his main carers (Benny and Marketa). The nursery offers delicious and nutritious on site cooked meals, snacks, nappies and everything your child might need for no extra

We recently placed our 16 month old at Hove Village and I have to say that this is a superbly organised and very high quality nursery. The staff are kind, responsive, thoughtful and very caring. The use of the Famly app allows us to know how our baby's time there is progressing and keeps us in constant touch. The reports which the staff regularly… provide show us how our little boy is learning and progressing. The building is extensive with lots of resources and of course the Park is right next door. Our little boy settled in here very quickly and very much enjoys his time at Hove Village

This nursery is wonderful ! The Nikki and her team fill my child’s days with fun and closely monitor her development encouraging her to grow at her own speed . The setting is beautiful and very clean, organised and well managed . The team went above and beyond to make sure my daughter was settled in and now she practically runs in the door ! I cannot recommend enough !

I would highly recommended this nursery. They have so much to offer the children. They are dry interested in the development of the children. They offer a website which you can see what your child has done for the day which I find fantastic as you like to see how your child is progressing. By sending your child to this nursery I feel you are giving your child a head start before they start school.
