Services
We seek to support these 'languages', ultimately by listening to and valuing our little one's contributions. We offer time and space for our children to express themselves through meaningful connections with educators and nature itself. Respecting the voices of our children is crucial for the development of confidence and self-esteem.
I want to say a big thank you to all the staff at Westgate Nursery for so many reasons. Our youngest started with you at 18 months old and had such a positive experience throughout his time with you. What was so important to us was that every room he went into as he progressed through the nursery he was treated as an individual.
Being outdoors amongst nature is at the centre of our practice. Immersed in the outdoors, our children can realise their own goals as they play alongside peers of different ages thus establishing a sense of community. Our children explore our garden and woodland area freely and spontaneously; using all their senses, developing their sense of exploration, curiosity and imagination.
We have a rotational menu that offers a range of flavours, textures, and cuisines, to ensure all of our little ones have a varied and balanced diet. The menu is changed to reflect the season. We use local produce where possible; sometimes we even manage to grow our own! We are able to cater for special dietary requirements.
We understand that leaving your baby is a significant moment, so we do our best to make this transition as smooth as possible. Priority is placed on our relationships with our families, so we will keep you informed about all aspects of your little one's time at nursery. You are your child's expert; we recognise this and seek to work collaboratively with you at every stage of your nursery journey.

Westgate has been somewhere my son has grown in confidence and knowledge hugely over the years, the team are always so upbeat and welcoming not a single member disappoints. They will be hugely missed when my son transitions over to school this year.
Westgate has a huge garden allowing the children freedom to explore and burn some energy before having relaxation time in the afternoon with music and stories. They provide puddle suits for fun in the rain, discos on a Friday, arts and crafts and endless laughs whilst also giving the children responsibility and freedom of choice
