The concept of Learning Curve was created with the aim of providing the best in childcare practice at an affordable price for the families of the Royal Wootton Bassett and North Wiltshire area. In ten years the business has developed from a fledgling business to an established and welcome local institution and yet in all that time Learning Curve has never stopped looking for ways to improve.
The development of the site, the construction of the buildings, the landscaping of the grounds are all testimony to the creative and innovative ideas and processes harnessed by the directors of the business, Naida Malik and Alan Butler.

Services
After a career in education and human resources Naida Malik was ready for a new challenge when, in 2001, a plot of land came up for sale on the edge of Royal Wootton Bassett. Here was the ideal site to locate a children's day nursery that would serve the town and the surrounding area. By 2003 Naida had fulfilled a long-held ambition to design and build a nursery that could provide high-quality affordable childcare in a perfect location.
At Learning Curve we provide daily a balanced, wholesome diet. Breakfast, mid morning snack, lunch and afternoon tea - the emphasis is on providing a healthy diet. Chef prepares our food fresh daily and the children just love her tasty cooking. The menus are planned to provide a variety of food which is both nourishing and designed to provide the well-balanced diet that young children need.
We have a keen and enthusiastic team that makes Learning Curve a wonderful place in which to work and learn. Between them they have a large portfolio of skills, qualifications, experience, knowledge, talent, inner resource and commitment. Our team comprise a qualified nursery manager, a deputy and childcare practitioners who offer individual attention to both the children and their parents/carers.
A register is kept for children showing each child's full details, medical information and emergency contact numbers. All staff are trained in First Aid. No child may attend when seriously ill or suffering from an infectious illness. We have regular health and safety audits conducted by an external safety adviser.
Curriculum: The Nursery aims to facilitate the child's experiences by having an open and structured environment that allows free scope for creativity and expression. In this way the children grow with confidence through activities at their own pace. From an early stage the children are offered activities that are stimulating and challenging.

Our son is loving his time at Learning Curve and we have every confidence in the very competent staff that they are taking good care of him. He eats better at nursery than he does at home, and spends lots of time outside being active and observing nature. Staff are always willing to adapt to his individual needs (as much as is possible in a group environment) and to plan activities which will be engaging for his learning style. We enjoy hearing what he's been up to when we pick him up at the end of the day.

Learning Curve has been like extended family to us. We have had our children there for 4.5 years and leaving was really hard for us. The staff looked after them like they were their own and have been instrumental in their development. Its amazing seeing passion like this, even through the difficult covid times. Our children seem to eat better and behave better at the nursery too. We loved the outdoors space that the nursery offers and the fact that activities are not confined to a room or a small yard.

Staff were neglectful. Child often came home upset due to hunger and was sent home 3 times for being ill when he was in fact dehydrated. After cancelling due to concerns of care they contacted social services to file a criminal complaint which took a long while to clear up as false with no evidence. Do not use their service.

Staff bully other staff and are unkind. No one does anything to help. Poor management only care about trying to get outstanding on the day Ofsted come, don't actually care about what actually happens just about how the staff rehearse for Ofsted. Poor management avoid dealing with situations more worried about looking good to other management and pretending they have done atuff what other staff have done.
