I am delighted and proud to be Head Teacher at such a fun and vibrant school where pupils, staff, governors, parents and the school community work extremely hard and have high expectations of one another. We are committed to the highest standards of teaching and learning - achieved through a combination of challenge, support, encouragement and praise - to ensure that all students fulfill their potential.
Services
At Woodheys Primary School the Governing Body and I strive to maintain a school culture where we plan opportunities to allow every child to fulfil their academic potential, build their curiosity and become life-long learners.

Throughout your child's journey through Woodheys Primary School, we will provide a broad range of exciting learning opportunities to enrich all pupils helping them to develop their identity, self confidence, wellbeing and self belief.
At Woodheys Primary School we value the important role that staff, pupils, and parents play in ensuring that our pupils work, grow and achieve together. Only by everyone working together in partnership will our pupils achieve their full potential.

We ask parents to use our Working in Partnership agreement to talk to their children about the promises and commitments they will make towards learning and towards the school, and to think about how parents will work in partnership with their children and with our staff to provide our pupils with all the support they need to grow, learn and achieve.
Welcome to the section of the website where you can find out more about the school's governors, and the work that we do. Our main role is to support the Headteacher and the staff - the phrase often used to describe this role is 'a critical friend'. We help them to set and reach targets and to strive for excellence across the whole spectrum of school life.
Our Equality Policy mirrors the ethos of the school and is considered in all the other school policies. Everyone associated with the school is kept informed about the Equality Policy and procedures, and is asked to abide by them. Treating people equally does not necessarily involve treating them all the same.
All local admissions are overseen via the local authority (Trafford Council) - school have no influence on admission decisions. If you don't have internet access contact the School Admissions Team on 0161 912 5007 for advice on how to submit your application. If your child lives in another Local Authority you can still apply for Trafford schools, but you must apply to the authority where you pay Council Tax (your own home Local Authority).
