This place is a real treasure. The setting is stunning. The food and service is excellent. A great place to stop off from a walk around Derwentwater. Sometimes I'll drive up from Doncaster just to sit and drink coffee at St Mary's Mount. A little bit of heaven on earth.

I can only review The Mary Mount based on the food as we haven't actually stayed in the hotel.
Although it's a short drive out of Keswick, it is well worth it as the food is really good. The hotel itself is dog friendly and, while dogs aren't allowed in the restaurant, you can take them into the bar area or in the conservatory which has fabulous views. The staff were really friendly and attentive and I'd have no hesitation in going back.

I’ve never stayed in such a dog friendly hotel before! The great news is they also like humans. Our room was superb, we all received a warm welcome, the food is delicious (highly recommend the orange and chocolate sponge pudding) and the bar is well stocked. However, what makes this hotel worthy of 5 stars are the staff, so friendly and professional. We’ll definitely be back.

Beautiful surroundings in all kinds of weather. Could sit there all day and watch the array of birds visiting the feeders. Dog friendly conservatory. Gorgeous interior, very warm and welcoming. Serve food from 12 good portions and tastes delicious. Had a problem with a cold coffee but was dealt with straight away.
