Welcome to Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Altrincham, centrally and prominently located within the bustling town centre of affluent Altrincham. Here at Monkey Puzzle we provide full time childcare in our light and spacious day nursery. Children aged 3 months to 5 years are cared for by our wonderful team of practitioners, carefully hand-picked to offer the highest level of care.
The nursery is located within easy reach of both the M56 and the M6, providing easy access for those parents who commute. It is a two minute walk from Altrincham bus, train and Metrolink station and a twenty minute tram journey from Manchester City Centre which is 8 miles away. The area is made up of both commercial and residential properties.

Services
At Monkey Puzzle Altrincham we will nurture the emotional well being of every child in a happy and stimulating environment. Our aim is to ensure that all children develop to achieve their full potential. To develop our Mission Statement and ethos we took on the views and feedback of our children, parents and staff.
All of our staff are either NNEB (National Nursery Examination Board) or equivalent, or participating in the National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in Early Years and Childcare. Laura Cardy BSc Hons PGCE has worked in Early Education for the past 14 years. She has been an EYFS leader in a primary school for the past nine years whilst also being a Reception class teacher.
Our non-mobile babies benefit from a large, bright, open plan day room. This room promotes a stimulating environment, whilst remaining calm and nurturing for our littlest children. A cosy black and white area enhances babies sight and focus, with the bubble gym and pull up bar encouraging crawling and standing.
At Monkey Puzzle day nursery we strongly believe that a healthy, balanced diet is essential for growth and development in under 5's. This prompted us to consult with a paediatric nutritionist to formulate a menu that will help give your child the best start in life. Where possible, all our food is organic and has won The Healthy Eating Under 5's Award.
All children at Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries are encouraged to learn through play. Our Curriculum covers all the key areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage and is designed to meet the needs of each individual child. We follow the Government's Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework which sets the standards for learning, development, and care for children from birth up to 5 years of age.

Monkey puzzle has been great for my little boy. He joined in the baby room and after 10 months of being at home with us and barely any contact with other people due to covid we had a rocky start, but monkey puzzle were really helpful at getting him settled in and soon he was loving his time there. Sarah and Tracey in the baby room are so lovely and they're always doing fun activities! The app that they use to contact you is also really helpful as they can easily get in touch with you and send updates.

This being my first child I was nervous of leaving him when i returned to work however I cannot fault Monkey Puzzle at all. He has settled in well here and enjoys spending time with the wonderful staff and other babies. It is clear to see how much they enjoy their job and working with the children. The Famly app is brilliant - I love being able to… see what he is doing through the day and seeing him happy and smiling when pictures are uploaded of him doing his activities. Both of my children attend Monkey Puzzle Altrincham and they could not be happier. The genuine care and nurture for the children was the main reason for choosing this setting. Staff ensure the children feel safe and settled and really do know the children. The staff in each room are knowledgeable in child development, ensuring children are meeting… their next steps in learning. Moreover, the Famly app enables me to see what the children have been doing throughout the day. Finally, the directors of the nursery, Laura and Nicola, are hands on. They want feedback from parents and act on it

My child has been extremely happy here. The staff are very knowledgeable, with the owners Laura and Nicola, being very experienced EYFS primary teachers. I feel that my child has had an outstanding start to their learning journey in a safe, secure, stimulating environment, where he is clearly loved by the staff. The extended opening hours are a god send for any working parent and your views as parents are evidently valued. Couldn't have asked for a better nursery.
