Services
We take great pride in our staff. Our award-winning team of caring, competent, qualified professionals, is paramount to our success. Staff morale is high. Our loyal and long serving managers and team leaders have been at Oakfield for between 7-30 years, so have grown and developed with us. This provides a solid foundation for continual evolvement and progression.
A place where individual gifts, talents, and passions (in children and adults) are recognised, cultivated and supported. A place where children's initial experiences of learning are fun, challenging and rewarding. A place where you can smell the fresh, warm, clean scents of home and hear the sound of children's laughter, singing and chatter.
All our food is freshly prepared and cooked on the premises each day by our full time cook and catering assistants. Meals are enjoyed in our separate dining room, making this a sociable, as well as nutritional experience. Providing children with a healthy, balanced diet in the early years is important for both their development and creating lifelong healthy eating habits.
Oakfield has been in the same family for two generations, and this family atmosphere runs throughout the nursery. When your child leaves Oakfield, your family connection with the nursery doesn't end there. Our Oakfieldian network of alumni and parents, ensures the wonderful friendships established during nursery days are maintained.
Over the past 50 years Oakfield has established a strong relationship with the local areas of Altrincham, Hale, Bowdon and surrounding areas of Manchester and Cheshire. We encourage our children to engage with the people and places in our beautiful town, and take their place as active members of the community.

My brother and I were part of the first intake at this nursery back in 1968, to us it was Mrs Barr's. Great memories; the huge three wheeler bikes, huge to us of course, and the dressing up box, I always wanted to be the spaceman being a tomboy. Fantastic that it's still going after all these years, of course it will have changed so much since I was there!
