Elmscot Group, based in Hale, Cheshire was established in 2001 to meet the needs of parents who were struggling to find a homely nursery offering exemplary childcare, nutrition and education. The business now employs 220 colleagues and is responsible for the care and early years education over 1800 local children.
Elmscot Group Day Nurseries and Nursery Schools care for children aged from six weeks to five years in very safe, homely environments. We have nurseries located across Cheshire in Hale, Altrincham, Timperley, Sale, Knutsford and Chester. The nursery and nursery school setting is within a large detached Victorian house with a very large rear garden, divided into three play areas for the children.
Set in a spacious Victorian house, our exceptional nursery is located opposite Timperley Sports Club. Our child-led active learning environment stimulates little imaginations. Extensive play resources excite and inspire children to play and learn together or independently.
With an abundance of adventures and experiences including music, dance, art, design, cooking, sport and imaginative play, every child can learn naturally through enjoyment, play and socialising with others.Our location enables much of our time to be spent outdoors, in our very large garden, or trips to the local park, just a few minutes' walk away.

Our 'Ofsted Outstanding' nursery is located in a large Grade II listed farm house in the green belt. Built in the late 1600s as Bank Hall, Hale used to have a moat and 98 acres! Today the characterful Hale nursery offers large grounds and play areas surrounded by fields to two sides which lead to the Bollin River.
All of our settings are Ofsted registered and reach exemplary standards as set by the national regulator. On each inspection, we receive in-depth feedback which is used to continue and enhance our high quality childcare provision standards. At Elmscot Altrincham in 2019, Ofsted reported that: Children are happy and content at this warm and welcoming nursery.

My daughter loves going here - always happy when I drop her off and happy when I pick her up. The staff are attentive and always available and supportive not only to my daughter but to me too! My daughters social and language skills develop every day and she always surprises me with information she has learned at nursery! I would highly recommend!

Extremely happy with the care & attention given to our daughter, who is in the Willow room in Timperley. Our daughter has settled very quickly which is a credit to the team, and we get detailed reports at the end of each day of all the fun activities she’s done. There is always a good section of food, freshly cooked each day.
Liv (her key worker), Chelsea, Siobhan & Tasheika are all excellent. We’re very happy.

Unfortunately it’s my sons last day tomorrow due to us moving etc. But I just want to say what an absolutely amazing journey he’s been on since being with you from one year old.
Every single staff member have been outstanding and my sons development has never gone unnoticed at home after attending his nursery sessions. Even with the transitions to each room, us as parents have been made to feel at ease each time.
Thank you so much woodlands I could not recommend you more if I tried 😀

As 1st time parents, we relied on friends recommendations before visiting various nuseries in the area. I was still pregnant with our 1st daughter when we visited Elmscot, Altrincham. Our eldest is now nearly 3 and youngest 16 months. Both spend 3 days a week at Elmscot.
I couldn't be happier with all aspects of the nursery - from the manager who is so helpful, friendly, flexible & a great leader to the team there, to the chef with all the nutritious, fabulous meals she creates for the children, to the girls in the rooms & the girls key workers, managing every day life for each age group.
