St Vincent's Nursery School
St Vincent's Nursery aims to provide a family-friendly, loving, learning environment. Our children are nurtured to be imaginative, independent and reaching their full potential. The happiness, well-being and education of each child is reflected in the safe, secure and nurturing environment of our nursery. We work relentlessly towards ensuring that our children and staff team achieve their full potential.
Services
St Vincent's Nursery is an independent nursery situated in the grounds of St Vincent's Catholic Primary School and is owned by the Board of Governors of the school. It operates as a Social Enterprise with any surplus funds being reinvested into the nursery, school and wider community. The Nursery is registered to accommodate 75 children at any one time and caters for children aged between 0 and 5 years.
St Vincent's Nursery currently employs 35 members of the team; our highly-skilled teaching team forms the largest proportion of whole staff team and consists of fully qualified Early Years Practitioners and Early Years Teachers, as well as Early Years Apprentices who are at present working towards gaining their qualification in Early Years Education.
The Sunshine Club is led by a Team Leader, Mags McGagh, and Deputy Team Leader, Jackie Regan, who oversee the day-to-day running of the setting; they are supported by Heidi Richards, Early Years Co-ordinator. They all hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Playwork. Alongside our leadership team, we employ Playworkers who are very passionate about working with children and providing them with exciting and fun out-of-school experiences.
The Young Explorers room offers care and education to our youngest children, from 6 weeks to 2 years. The room itself has a large carpet area with lots of cosy pillows, blankets and beanbags for the children to enjoy quiet time; we have various story baskets as part of continuous provision, as well as large heuristic area with great range of treasure baskets with natural, real-life resources to develop sensory exploration using all the senses.
Our Early Learners room is designed for children aged 2 to 3 years; it is a very spacious classroom with various designated areas for the children to explore, such as a large construction area with a floor sandpit, loose parts play and small world resources that support developing the children's imagination in creating their own storylines for their play.

My little girl has been attending st Vincent’s for two years now since she was 10 months old and the staff are amazing. The staff turnover is low so she was lucky enough to have the same key worker for 18 months until she went up a room. They are always innovating and thinking of new ways to connect with the parents and communicate new initiatives. A huge thank you to all the staff for making our little girl so happy x

Our little boy begs to be taken to nursery every day! He loves it, he is so happy every day that he goes and has learnt so much in his time there. We couldn't be happier!
