But, Another Place is more than just a hotel. Inside you'll find Rampsbeck Restaurant, The Living Space bar and terrace, a relaxed library and Swim Club, our take on a spa. If you are bringing children, you can dine, swim or have a massage while they are exploring their wild sides in Kids' Zone, our Ofsted registered creche, which has supervised sessions.

Warm hospitality and contemporary comfort combine with views over Ullswater and the fells. Inside are 40 bedrooms, two restaurants, the library and Swim Club; our take on a spa, with treatment rooms and a 20 metre lake view swimming pool. Outside are rolling grounds, secluded nooks and the lakeshore with our own jetty.
See in 2022 in the Lake District, with three nights of dancing, dining and toasting. Our New Year's Eve break is much more of a house party, with space for you to dance the night away or float in the pool looking at the stars. Just bring your trunks and your dancing shoes and we will do the rest. There'll be lake-side sports, cold water swimming, games for the children, music and plenty to eat and drink.
With Ullswater and the fells on your doorstep, the Lake District is a permanent playground with endless space, footpaths, trails, lakes and rivers waiting to be explored. Our 18 acres of secluded Lake District National Park and shoreline offer early risers the space to exercise your canine companions before breakfast and heading out for the day.
Rampsbeck Restaurant is a more formal dining experience. A three-course seasonal menu influenced by the flavours of the local landscape, from Douglas Fir salted cod cheeks to meadowsweet custard. Our three-course menu is inspired by the region's produce - dishes that incorporate heritage ingredients and contemporary interpretations of flavours that occur naturally within the landscape.
Led by Colin Hill, our renowned open water swim guide and coach, English Channel solo swimmer, first UK Male Ice Mile swimmer (one mile in under 5 degrees with no wetsuit) & former Age Group Triathlon Champion. His passion for open water swimming is infectious. Swim in the lake at night under The Milky Way, the glow of your light-up tow float keeping you company under the stars.

We have just had such a relaxing family holiday. We live in Cornwall and know Watergate Bay quite well so thought we would visit the beautiful Lakes.
Having two babies, we were made to feel so relaxed and comfortable with baby monitors, room for a double pram, family swim times and a really well sized family room with cots. Beautiful views. Lovely buffet brekkie. Great pool. We were told it was max capacity, which was also great as it felt spacious and not too busy. We often had the pool to ourselves and we could always find a cosy sofa in the corner to sit as a family. We had such a good time

We were treated to a night at Another Place by my daughter, our 2020 Christmas present but this was the first date we could come.
It really was a treat. The friendly staff, the beautiful room, the gorgeous food and the relaxed atmosphere all made the wait more than worthwhile.
The room, pool and all the public areas were spotlessly clean, most reassuring after 18 months of locking ourselves away from the world.
We have already decided this is the place to come for our special wedding anniversary next year!

Our 3 night stay was out of this world. This was our 1st getaway as a married couple after 2 years since having a baby and the hotel was amazing. A special shoutout to Harry the manager for making us feel so welcome. His hospitality and client focus was clear to see and he will be a great asset for the company.
We also had amazing service from Mark, Jack, Ben, Alex and Adam. No matter who was serving us or what we asked for, it was never an issue and everything was done with a smile on their face.

Absolutely fantastic hotel I would highly recommend this for couple and families alike. The staff were friendly and helpful and it feels really smart without being stuffy. The pool is superb and the view is stunning. Food and drink is really lovely and the staff were very good especially Harry in the restaurant. Very intuitive. Will be back.

I can highly recommend this hotel. Caroline and Harry made our stay very welcoming. All the staff were very friendly. Excellent food in both restaurants. The rooms were beautiful and very clean. Caroline had left us a very nice bottle of prosecco in our room to greet us. Thank you to all the staff at the hotel for making our stay perfect
