We are a Local Authority Maintained Nursery School in Lincoln welcoming children aged 2-4 years old. The school was established in the 1940s and has been providing high-quality Early Years education and care ever since. Our Nursery offers Qualified Teachers, Early Years Specialists and Educators with a passion for the best for young children to educate and care for the children in our school.

We are excited to let everyone know- our Toddlers session is back! We will be introducing lovely Clare, who will be setting up some wonderful play activities and be available to talk to families as they spend time in our Nursery. Babies, Toddlers, Preschoolers, Parents, Grandparents and Carers are all welcome.

At St Giles Nursery School we provide a warm and relaxed atmosphere, enabling children to grow a love of learning with the fun of childhood exploration and blossoming friendships. At the heart of all we do is the well-being and holistic development of each individual child, working together with families to provide a supportive environment for every child to thrive.
As a school governing body we are very proud of our inspirational school. We take a leading role in the development of school provision and are regular visitors in the classroom. We are fully committed to continually developing excellence that the school and it's staff aspire to maintain.

St Giles Nursery School Governors is made up of the Head Teacher, 2 Parent Governors, 5 Co-Opted Governors, appointed by the Governing Body and 1 Staff Governor.Our term of office is 4 years. We have one full governor meeting every half-term. We also have Areas of Focus as governors, to look closely at particular aspects of the school's work and make regular visits to school to meet staff and children.
Our children regardless of age, gender, ability, culture, race, language, religion or sexual identity have equal rights to protection. St Giles Nursery staff have an equal responsibility to act on suspicion or disclosure that may suggest a child is at risk of harm. Ensuring that children grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care; and.
Our Nursery School has looked closely at the needs of our children and know that settled, happy children are learning children. We would recommend 2 or more sessions per week to help nursery be a memorable part of the weekly routine. A child that is two may be entitled to 15 hours of funded childcare each week (term time).

Absolutely fabulous, attentive teachers with a thorough way of learning and lesson planning. Couldn't recommend enough, 6 excellent Ofsted reports in a row shows the credibility this nursery.

All of the teachers are lovely! I've had 2 soon to be 3 of my children here, & they couldn't be anymore happier being here, if there's ever a problem every single 1 of the teachers are happy to talk/help you out! Would definitely recommend this nursery to start your child off on their school life 😘

An excellent environment for children to learn the fundamentals of reading,writing socialising and so much more. All the staff are great with the children and looking for innotative ways to introduce the children to early education !
