Phoned to register my two dogs, and make a booking to have one of the dogs spayed. Quote supplied and all going very well. Until I asked a question, the lady then went and spoke to someone else and told me that my dog would need a health check in addition to the price agreed (extra £43) as I was a new client. Surely a Professional vet would know if my dog could be operated on or not?
A con, resulting in me canceling the registration all together.

On the past 14 years they took care of my dog's Jack, Buster and Angel, all of them are resting now but I would like to say a big thank you to all of you of the Quantock vet to be with us from the beginning to the end, helping us to take care of our lovely pets. I highly recommend quantock vet. Their prices and the compassion for our pets are amazing.

I noticed my puppy had dead skin on his paws so took him to the vets. The vet met me in the waiting room and asked if I could show him my puppies paws, of course my puppy wasn’t having any of it! The vet did not try to look at the paws himself (I have a Rottweiler x bull mastiff, friendly as ever but perhaps vet was scared!) so instead I showed the vet a picture I had taken of his paws. The vet said it’s absolutely fine and the skin just needs cutting off. The chat was 5 minutes and they charged me £41.50 for absolutely nothing. When I emailed to complain, I received a rude and dismissive

Positive: Professionalism
Recently had our kitten spayed at Quantock Vets, Louise, who carried out the operation was superb through the whole process, she explained everything in detail and did a wonderful job, very small scar and healing well. The whole nursing team were very caring during the recovery period as well. Thank you Quantock Vets.

I won't say their service is bad but I've had conflicting information at times. The one irritation that I have is that our dog has a chronic skin condition that repeatedly shows itself as ear infection. We recognise the infection everytime. So I don't see why having repeatedly been to the same vets for the same treatment, that we have to pay a new consultation fee everytime she is treated. It's an ongoing chronic illness. Whether it flares up one year once or five times. It's the same illness and she is not insured because it's chronic & insurance won't cover it. So it feels very financially lucrative

Avoid this practise if you can. We had the worst experience with worse outcome for our dog. Money focused practise not about animal welfare. On our first visit we were told that dog needs an X-ray but Vet was unable to explain why dog needs X-ray (dog didn’t have anything broken). On none of our visits blood test was offered for our dog to find out why dog become unwell so sudden, diagnose was based to Vets judgement. For same condition we were charged full consultation fee every time we came to practise for following check-up (in 6 months more than 4 visits). Twice we were told one pricing in

We have been with Quantock vets for over 15 years.
Have always found them very compassionate - they understand the bond you have with your pet, have always been there for advice and sorted things out quickly.
Never a problem to get appointments and the support staff are fantastic.
Very, very happy with them, and cannot recommend them highly enough.
