A fascination with all creatures great & small (and how they work) from an early age led Dan to the Royal Veterinary College in London, where he qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 1991.After some time in traditional mixed practice in Ilminster, Dan returned to London and then to Langford, Bristol, to undertake postgraduate training in anaesthesia and critical care medicine.

Over the last fourteen years, we have grown into the premier small animal veterinary practice in the Taunton area providing an outstanding level of care and service for our clients and their pets, based around a friendly, approachable and highly professional team of vets and nurses who care about what they do.
We offer a high-quality, friendly and professional service covering all aspects of your pet's health, All consultations are by appointment only, ensuring your pet is seen promptly and at a time convenient for you. Consultations are a minimum of 15 minutes to ensure adequate time for us to undertake a full examination and discussion of your pet's health.

A veterinary practice that has been very good with our cats over the last few years. Friendly and knowledgeable staff who, in our experience, are quick with a smile, efficient and provide a great service. The only down side is the slightly small waiting area...although that hasn't been a problem during covid as we have had to wait in the car for the staff to come out to meet us in the car park, which they have seemed more than happy to do! Definitely recommended.

Without Doubt the best Vets in the area (and I've tried a few over the years.
Would highly recommend to anyone. Very professional and caring all round.
Had Looked after my beloved dog over several years who had various problems but made the amazing age of nearly 15.
I WILL be returning at some point

Exceptional, skilled vets and friendly efficient nurses and reception team. I can't fault the treatment, care and support my beloved Wolf (and myself) have received over nearly 15yrs. He threw a fair few veterinary challenges at them, and each one was met with the same attention to detail and knowledge. When the end came, I was shown such kindness and compassion. I cannot thank you all enough and wouldn't hesitate (and have done often),to recommend CVC to anyone.

Was promised a phonecall yesterday with my cats blood results. I’ve called 3 times and was promised again this morning. Infuriating. Still hasn’t happened. My cat’s really unwell and they don’t seem to care at all. I would strongly advise against using them. Really disappointing- will be changing vets.

All three of our much loved cats have received nothing but the best treatment from this team of vets, nurses and reception staff. We've received clear advice and sensitive support when the time came for two of the cats to be put to sleep (aged about 16-17 years). The one cat who is still alive is diabetic and so needs special diet, insulin injections and regular blood tests. She also needs to stay in the cattery when we're away so that she can be fed and given insulin at the proper times. We can only praise the team and thank them for their help, support and treatment over the last 15 years or

We changed to this vets after moving into the area. The vet we see with our cats is lovely. Very knowledgeable and good with our nervous boy. The reception staff are pleasant and it's very nice to see a vet that has a lab facility on site. Generally I'm happy with the service I've received so far
My only slight criticism is that their waiting area is VERY small. if you are in there with a cat/small animal and there is a boisterous or energetic dog then it's quite a distressing experience for your pet. If there was a way they could create a separate waiting area for dogs, I think It would be better
