We would ask all of our clients to bear with us during this difficult time, and especially to be patient and civil when attending our surgeries. Delivering our services during this time has been very challenging, and this can sometimes mean slightly longer waiting times. Drug and food collections continue to be delivered via a no-contact approach.
Please remember to phone us at least 24 hours in advance of visiting the surgery to collect these. Save money and pay monthly for your pet's essential preventative care with our Pet Health Plans.

Services
We pride ourselves on providing an outstanding level of service for our clients and their pets, with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, within modern and well equipped surgeries. All of our surgeries are modern, fully equipped and spacious with consulting, operating, X-ray and hospitalisation facilities and have ample parking.
At Kingfisher Vets we are proud to have a strong team of dedicated small animal vets and nurses. We will care for you and your pets in a friendly and professional manner and because we all have pets of our own, we understand their needs and how much they mean to us as family members. Our clinical staff regularly attend CPD (continuing professional development) courses to keep themselves up to date with the latest advances in veterinary care.
Our aim is to help you keep your pets as healthy as possible throughout their lives. We understand that your pet is part of your family and will help you make the best decisions for his or her long term health and welfare. Nutrition and weight control, vaccination, parasite prevention, neutering advice, senior pet health screening.
All of our surgeries have up to date X-ray facilities with automatic processing of the X-ray films. This means we can get excellent images in all sizes of pet ranging from small birds to Great Danes. We also have a dedicated dental X-ray unit as used by human dentists giving clear images on intraoral film for diagnosis of dental problems and to assist with dental treatment.
We believe that nutrition is an important part of keeping pets healthy and can also play a vital part in the treatment of some illnesses. This is why we stock a select range of cat and dog pet food in practice, helping to take the faff out of pet food for our clients by recommending diets that have been scientifically created to provide optimal nutrition, which tastes great!

Always (until today) a great experience. Young vet just provided excellent service when picking bits up. Tad upset that receptionist got frustrated she couldn’t hear me through a mask then tutted, shook her head and turned away from me when I tried again. Clearly having a bad day, but still first time I’ve had that here. Would still recommend though despite this. This was in Chard.

Our Dog Bin got PTS in April 2021 The vet was honest and clear in her recommendation that Bin was in pain and should be booked in We were prepped well by not just the vet but all the staff present on the day but also over the phone when talking about his ashes. He was PTS in the practices garden we had a picnic blanket and all his favourite treats and we read him a story staff were in the vets and told us to tap on the window when we were ready. Everyone working that day wereso very respectful and i felt they genuinely cared. They explained to me where his body would go and the process and let

We have found the staff at Kingfisher Vets (Martock and Crewkerne) extremely helpful and caring. They have taken the time to explain (to the pet’s owners) exactly what they are planning to do, or have done. They appear equally caring and supportive to our pets. Very recently we rang with a serious issue for our dog (8.30am)…. By 12 the dog had been seen and operated on. We collected him at 2.30pm. Whilst the whole situation was very rapid, we never felt rushed. THANK YOU

Sooo. We had to have our 4yr old, beloved dog put to sleep today. Not a nice situation to be in at anytime but it was made even more difficult by the vet Beryl. She was extremely insensitive and completely lacked compassion and understanding. She made the whole situation about her and how much she had to sacrifice her time to fit in my poor dogs euthanasia when "she was so busy with other appointments". She advised me that my dog was to ill to come home ( 3 mins from the vet) for my 4 children to say goodbye to her and give her a final pamper, even though when my previous dog was put to rest she

Found an injured cat took them to this vet receptionist was really rude. As the cat had no microchip refused to help even though then cat was skinny could not stand on back leg so they gave some numbers and I was told to let cat go. The vet had no ethicis as I fought people become vets to help animals not abandoned them would not recommend to any one as it seems they are more interested in money then animals.

Dropped a star as they seem to have a very high turn over of vets, rarely is the same vet there again next year.
Very friendly reception staff, nurses prepared to explain and answer any questions with regards to medications.
Very presentable waiting room, always clean, good disabled access.
Vet or nurse always offering to take something to assist getting in the treatment room.
