Services
On behalf of the children, staff and governors, I would like to welcome you to Southcote Primary School. Our school is a large primary, currently undergoing an expansion. As Executive Headteacher I am working both here and at Katesgrove Primary School and I am fully committed to the success of both schools.
Choosing a school is a very important decision for any family. We aim to provide the best education both academically and socially for your children and we do this by working in close co-operation and partnership with parents and the local community. At Southcote we have recently adopted a three form of entry policy where all children are admitted in the September of the year they turn five.
Governors play an important role in school leadership. Providing challenge and support to the school in achieving its ambitious aims and targets. Governors undertake regular monitoring visits to the school and individuals have a Link Governor responsibility. All governors meet as a full governing body throughout the year.
We currently offer Breakfast Club from 7.45-8.30am. This is supervised by school staff. The children are given a nutritious breakfast and there are a range of activities available to the children which include reading, games, drawing, singing and other exciting pursuits. There is a daily charge for this facility.
With the ever changing world of mobile phones we ask parents to ensure that we have up to date contact details and emergency numbers in case your child is taken ill or involved in an accident. Please let the office staff know of any change of details or circumstances immediately. Data collection forms will be sent out at the beginning of the school year.
