My name is Jacky Steele, and I have been the Headteacher here for four very happy years. The Ridgeway is a two-form entry primary school with a nursery class with space for 26 children from their third birthday. This is a new and exciting partnership between our two schools, and more information about this can be found in the SEND section of our website.
Our visions and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens. This year we are teaching the children about particular values and trying to demonstrate and embrace values in everything we do, both in the classroom and on the playground.
At The Ridgeway, staff provide a broad and balanced curriculum that meets the needs of all pupils and teaches them the skills and knowledge that will prepare them for their future lives. Pupils are knowledgeable and inquisitive. They are literate and numerate and read for pleasure and purpose.
