Services
Situated in the picturesque countryside of North Cornwall, Gospenheale has been owned by our family since 1925. We are now the third generation to live here and continue to appreciate the beauty of the surrounding landscape. We have a breadth of knowledge of the local area and are happy to share ideas for walks and places to visit in the vicinity.
The barn has been carefully converted by an excellent local builder giving a unique feel to the property with many character features. The open plan first floor living area has exposed oak A-frames, wooden floors and beautiful views across the patchwork of local farmland with Dartmoor in the distance.
We are always happy to share comments left by visitors to Gospenheale Barn. It's great to hear that guests have enjoyed their stay and found our property to be even better than expected. Several of these reviews have been left on our Airbnb and Trip Advisor pages and copied to our website hence the author sometimes comes up as David Pett or admin.
Gospenheale Barn is situated just off the road. The entrance and parking area is gravelled and level with ample parking and turning area for four cars so that it is easy to drive out of the property. Access to the property from the parking area is achieved by two ways. The most accessible being a level walk on the paved front area of the property this is only 12 m from the closest parking space to the door.
Cornwall is a unique county with diverse coastal, rural and moor landscapes. The farm land at Gospenheale makes up 150 acres of this beautiful environment. The barn itself has been converted using a local builder, local tradesmen, suppliers and artisans. We have installed solar panels, underfloor heating and a condenser boiler into the barn to make it as energy efficient as possible.

We had the best of stays for two weeks over the summer! The Barn is very well appointed and as a family business the attention to detail and welcome were second to none. Huge thanks to David and Bridget, for the freshly baked scones, fresh flowers and even for our daughters birthday treats as she turned 13 while we were there - so very kind. The location meant we could easily explore both coasts of Cornwall and had many conveniences on the doorstep in Launceston - though the barn itself was in a lovely quiet spot so best of both worlds! We would very highly recommend to anyone looking for the perfect

We had a lovely welcome and they definitely went the extra mile to make the barn perfect for myself wife and our 4 year old son. The interior of the barn is fresh and set out perfect we didn't have any problems what so ever, there were freshly baked scones cream and jam waiting for us a homemade pie waiting in the fridge we didn't have to ask for anything it was there ready and waiting. It was easy to find and

We've stayed in the barn twice now and absolutely love it!
The living area is spacious, warm and beautifully decorated, the kitchen has everything you need and more and is very clean. As are the bathrooms (way better quality than at home!). The beds are very comfi and I always sleep very good. I don't know whether it's the beds, the fresh, clean Cornish air or the silence, but I am hooked. Certainly a recommendation if you would like a week (or more) of peace, quiet and Cornish pasties/scones. Then there are the hosts (very welcoming, bearing scones), their dog Bob (always in for a play/walk)

Where do I start, from the beautiful homemade cream tea on arrival to the wonderful chats with David and Bridget and also David's parents, Lawrence and Linda. The barn is immaculate and very homely and has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. And we can't forget Bob, you have been like our dog away from home. The boys have enjoyed throwing the frisbee around and going for a walk around the farm. Thank you once again David and Bridget. Even though it is so far away for us we will return one day.
