Services
Set in the heart of Ruby country (so called after the Ruby Red cattle farmed locally), Blagdon Farm is a working small-holding only a few miles from the wide sandy North Cornwall beaches at Bude and Widemouth Bay, the stunning Cornish resorts of Boscastle and Padstow (home to Rick Stein's famous seafood restaurant), and the spectacular scenery of Dartmoor and Exmoor.
Couldn't ask for more. A fabulous little piece of heaven. Caught some nice fish. Lodge lovely & easy to get to lake. Can't wait to come back. Highly recommended. Very comfortable. Lovely people who are very helpful. Very peaceful & lodge well equipped. Fishing very good. Accommodation immaculate and very well equipped.
We have 6 two-bedroom lodges and 2 one-bedroom lodges which were all purpose designed and built to be 100% fully-accessible for disabled people and they are rated at 4* or 3*. The two bedroom lodges sleep up to 6 + cot and the 1 bedroom lodges sleep up to 4 + cot. Please note that we do not accept more than 5 adults in the lodges sleeping 6, or more than 3 adults in the lodges that sleep 4 because the sofa-beds are small doubles.
Mallard is a bright and airy lodge featuring an open plan living room with laminate flooring and a leather suite (including a sofa bed), a contemporary fire and a flatscreen HD TV with built-in DVD/CD player. There is a dining table which can accommodate up to 6 people and the kitchen includes a double oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer.
We want to ensure that our guests have the very best holidays and we're delighted to be able to offer the following facilities. The swimming pool is open from Easter until the end of October half term daily between 10am and 7pm. It has it's own accessible changing rooms, showers and WC. If you have limited mobility then there is a hoist to help you in and out of the pool.

Place was in a lovely quiet beautiful spot and the fishing lake was very good and plenty of fish for my partner.
Lodges were kept to a fairly good standard.
The lodge we stayed in had 2 dining room chairs that were squeaky, the front door lock was coming off and the outside furniture has seen better days.
Swimming pool not open even though covid-19 says you can now use swimming pools indoors.
Generally a nice relaxing stay and lovely place, but in areas needs updating and the long grass cut in front of the lodges, so more open space.
