Berrio Mill is an old corn mill situated in the heart of Cornwall which benefits from spectacular idyllic rural surroundings. The accommodation consists of two superb self catering holiday cottages that are placed within a smallholding of 8 1/2 acres on the bank of the River Lynher. Conveniently situated between Bodmin Moor, Launceston, Liskeard and Callington.
Each self catering cottage is in a unique setting alongside the mill leat and overlooking the river and fields. Services
We moved here in 2003 as we saw the potential of creating something a little different from the usual accommodation providers found here in Cornwall. We also felt it would be great to create something we would enjoy doing and Berrio Mill is the ideal location. Berrio Mill is located in the peace and tranquillity of the undiscovered Lynher valley of East Cornwall.
This shows an overview of the availability for both cottages. When completed, your booking will be marked P (provisional) on our chart and you will receive an automated message with payment options. When we receive a payment, your dates will be secured. Price includes WiFi, electricity, central heating, logs for woodburner, linen & bathroom towels and a welcome pack of Berrio Mill Honey, tea, coffee and biscuits.
We are passionate about our honey which we take from bees which forage along the Lynher Valley in Cornwall. Using honey as a natural source of sweetness, we make a range of mustards. We also make jellies, chutneys, jams, preserves, and marmalades. All are hand crafted in small batches (usually 20-25 jars) at Berrio Mill with as many Cornish ingredients as we can find.
Here you will see some of Ebryl's family of 8 piglets. They have become great time wasters on our smallholding. These wonderful creatures are definitely pets and not for pork! The Kunekune pig is a registered rare breed originating from New Zealand with only 7 bloodlines worldwide. They have a wonderful temperament and, as with all pigs, are extremely intelligent and very sociable animals.
Enjoy some excellent river fishing for Sea Trout, Brown Trout and Salmon on the beautiful banks of the river Lynher at Berrio Mill. This is free for holiday guests! We have 550m of single left hand bank. Large spring sea trout, spring salmon and late summer grilse. Trouting is good in May and June with peal from July.
