We have a wonderful, stimulating purpose-built nursery school, an extensively landscaped outdoor play area and a team of very dedicated, qualified staff. Together we aim to provide good quality experiences through which your children can gain confidence, self-esteem and, most importantly, enjoyment. Services
It began with mixed pattern attendance, known today as a full-time class, part-time morning class and an afternoon class. Then, the full day sessions were popular whilst attendance for the part-time classes was extremely poor sometimes with only 50% of the children present in class. This decision was to change soon after in 1987 when demand for places necessitated going back to the mixed pattern of attendance.
All schools will be reconstituting their Board of Governors this year. Any parent interested in becoming a School Governor, or if you would like to nominate someone for this position please let Mrs Marshall know. They are responsible for making sure the school provides a good quality education for the children in Belmont Nursery School.
Belmont Nursery School doesn't have an official uniform. However, if you wish, your child may wear a uniform to school. We suggest a red sweatshirt with navy blue track bottoms, elasticised trouser or skirt. Both Max Fashions (Waterloo Street) and Select Kidz (Spencer Road) have the red sweatshirt with our school logo.

You can learn more about our daily/weekly routines as well as events happening throughout the year and how you can get involved. Information on child protection and consent forms are also included.
We have a fantastic range of books, both factual and fiction, for children to enjoy in school, and through our lending library. As an extension to our library provision we provide a selection of story sacks, which contain a variety of resources such as puppets, jigsaws, games art and craft activities that will hopefully bring the stories to life!
