Fledglings is a small private nursery caring for 51 children a day. Established in the year 2000 by mother and daughter team, Barbara Hicks and Sophie Mathieson, who shared a clear vision of creating a 'centre of excellence' within which all children could thrive.
Fledglings is situated in Tanworth-in-Arden within the grounds of a private house surrounded by beautiful countryside and woodland yet within close proximity to all major routes and the M42.At Fledglings, children learn and develop in a setting rich with warm human relationships, imaginative play and playful learning.

Services
Our dedicated Baby room where your child will start their learning journey through Fledglings. A loving, calm environment with a maximum of six babies, designed to nurture their needs. Our two year olds enjoy lots of free play, messy play and extra fun in their bigger outdoor learning environment. More fun and learning, planned to stimulate their ever expanding minds, as our older two year olds prepare for the next stage.
We have created a rich, stimulating environment designed to promote all aspects of children's development and offering a wealth of fun. It is abundant in opportunities for your child to explore, learn and develop supported by committed, skilled and dedicated practitioners. Your child can play happily, confidently and feeling secure that all their needs will be carefully met.
We pride ourselves on our strong links between home and nursery. We have an extremely effective Key Person system, enabling positive relationships to be forged between practitioners and families, with a shared 'Vision' for the children's emotional well-being. Each child's Learning Journey relies on, and is informed by this collaboration.
Our 'Forest School' is a truly special environment that offers all our learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands on learning experiences in our natural, woodland setting. All our children benefit from this specialised learning approach which aims to promote the holistic development of the children, fostering resilient, confident, independent and creative learners.
