Russell Nursery has been established since 1987. The community knows the nursery well and we are recognised for our quality childcare practice and Outstanding and Good Ofsted reports. Run various parents workshops to allow parents to come into the Nursery and carry out activities with their child in the Nursery setting.
Children at Russell Nursery are encouraged to thrive through taking part in the seven areas of learning as highlighted in the early years foundation stages. Our staff are chosen for their caring skills, their ability to interact with babies and young children and have years of experience with children.

Services
Meals are designed to provide a well-balanced diet which is both nutritional and enjoyable. Meals are home made using the freshest ingredients, and a local, reputable supplies. Our cook is able to cater for all dietary needs, including those required by young babies.
Meal times are a lovely learning process where the children are encouraged to be independent and to use good table manners whilst learning about different types of food from around the world.

Typical private nursery interested in public funding but not providing the right services. Nursery may be ok but we could not get a chance to get in and see due to Covid restrictions. Staff seem to have no clue about management, there seems to be no one in charge to deal with administrative matters.

Worst place ever! Managers have not got a clue how to communicate to parents! I found her rude!!! ...I didn’t leave it under the wrong name. I came to view the nursery and the approach was disgusting and how ill mannered the managers were, they wish to appear superior than you. Nowadays private nurseries are more about bums on seats in how much they wish to claim from the government rather than how they look after your children.

The staff at this nursery are amazing! We had some issues with our previous day care and it took a lot to give another place a try.
One of my kids is in school now and the teacher said the nursery did a lot for his development.
My daughter is in the toddlers she loves food, when she is so fussy with food at home and loves the staff, always bringing home nice paintings and work. Thank you girls for keeping my children happy and safe.

My two children attended the nursery. The staff are very attentive to the children's needs. We felt our children were in a very safe environment and cared for so well in a brilliant learning environment. The setting is very welcoming with bright spacious rooms and a clean outside play area well equipped. Thank you to all the staff.

The staff are fantastic, always friendly, warm and welcoming. My child loves going to nursery which is reassuring.
The owners let the nursery down which is a real shame. They don’t reinvest into the nursery for new educational toys or resources. There is also a high staff turnover. My main bug bearer is the accountancy side. They do not invoice or provide you with statements. Instead, if they feel you haven’t paid, they will issue you with an excel sheet with past, present and future dates with amounts owing.
It’s not clear and it’s infuriating, especially when I pay weekly by standing
