We hope that you enjoy finding out more about our school and what we offer to our children and families. Allanson Street Primary is a two form entry school with an intake of up to sixty children each September. We have a sixty place Nursery which offers morning or afternoon sessions for children following the term that they are three years of age.

Our nursery also offers wrap-around provision between 8am and 5.30pm.
Services
I am absolutely delighted to welcome you to our school website. Allanson Street Primary School is an incredibly special place and I hope that by spending some time perusing our pages you'll be able to gain a sense of that for yourself. However, our website is only an introduction to the work that we do.
We aim to promote high standards of language and literacy by equipping pupils with a strong command of the spoken and written word and to develop their love of literature through widespread reading for enjoyment. Speaking and listening skills are developed through a range of activities such as poetry, discussion and drama.
Our remote learning provision makes use of Class Dojo, our school website and Microsoft Teams. Please ensure you read our remote learning policy (below) which tells you what you can expect from staff at school and what we expect from you and your child whilst he / she is self-isolating. Part of our remote learning provision includes the use of Class Dojo.
We aim to work closely with families and the local community. We see this a mutually beneficial relationship enabling us to enrich the curriculum on offer. Parents and carers have the opportunity to attend many courses to support their child's learning and development, such as Family Literacy, Family Numeracy and Triple P.
