I love it here. It's clean and comfortable with friendly staff. A nice pot of tea. Gentle music in the background. For Covent Garden it not to bad on price

Great regular pub for central London meet-up with friends. Drink prices expensive but reasonable for London and service quick despite being packed. Got a table near the window. We will be back.

No cocktails, only thee types of whiskies served, no good variety of food. Hard to find a proper place at the city centre, as usual

Amazing food, probably one of the best Chicken, Ham and Leek pies I've ever had . Was crammed full, and had crispy bitter pastry. Also plenty of Gin options to choose from!

London prices which is always a shock when not often drinking in West end.
However a nice relaxed pub, friendly and on the ball staff at the bar, nice and warm with the fire going as it was very cold outside on our visit yesterday.
Will be back sometime.

Food is always good. They should look at their beer prices. £6 per pint doesn't encourage us to stay. Friendly staff. Good service.

Living in central London I'm not usually shocked at prices but being charged £6.70 for a bottle of non alcoholic beer and a bag of crisps did it. Looking at the menu a regular sized glass of bog standard wine was around £7 and fish and chips (probably frozen) was £16.50. I know pubs have had a torrid 18 months but this is off the scale. I went to The Royal Opera opposite after and the bar there was a fair bit cheaper than the pub. That's never happened before. Having said that it's a pleasant pub and the staff were good.

Fish and chips were lacking in flavor. The bartender was rude. The sweet bus boy/food runner was the nicest part of the evening. I do not recommend this place.

This place is a blast. The food is terrific comfort food. Had a party of five, and everyone loved everything we had. The folks behind the counter are nice. Veronica, in particular, is a dear. Highly recommend this place if you happen to be in the area - even if you're not, it's probably worth the hop.

I gone to this restaurant with a group of 25 persons. We wasn't good welcome there. They said it's the betest fish and chips, but I'm not agree with that. The personal wasn't kind. We can't choose the menu. I put one star because I can't put 0.

Well, this was the last of the Monopoly Board pubs that I visited and means that in the week that I spent in London I visited one pub on each of the roads (or close enough to) on the monopoly board. I guess they can write that on my tombstone, though since I didn't do it in a single does probably counts against me. Anyway, there were a few pubs on Bow Street and they all were pretty packed, despite it being a Wednesday night. As such I decided to randomly pick this one, namely because the others didn't seem to be all that different. As it turn out they weren't. I did eventually mange

I went with a group of about 40 people, and we managed to fit and feed everyone. The staff was incredibly accommodating and the food was great. The sausage and mash was excellent.

I give it a four instead of five because a couple people found a hair in their soup.

Great low-key pub with good food. The steak pie was very tasty and the sausage feast as well. The Banoffee pie finished the meal nicely. Very friendly staff made this a five star local pub.

Good stop for lunch. We ordered the bangers and mash and goat/vegetable baguette. Both were very good along with local beers. Friendly service and not too crowded in the late afternoon.

Nice English pub located close to covent garden
This particular pub has plenty of seating but not much standing space.
It can get quite busy so beware the waiting for a table to come available may take a little patience.
Usual range of beers and ales on tap and bottled.
Great food, one of the tastiest fish finger sandwiches I have ever had and chips can be served in a handful or a portion so you don't have to worry about being served a field of potatoes when you order chips.
Not an overly noisy pub so table conversation can happen without complete loss of voice
Excellent location

Monopoly Pub Crawl - Stop #18 - Bow Street (Orange)

For our first of the orange color group, we selected the Marquess of Anglesey. This place has a posh interior to match the posh name and a wide selection of cask ales to back it up. The downside is that this pub tends to be uber packed with tourist, lost Londoners, and everything under the sun. There is plenty of place outside if you fancy braving the chill or have a suitable alcohol jacket to make such worries irrelevant.

The bar staff is friendly and does an admirable job keeping the crowd watered and they even managed to find time to sign

F. Nice decor, fits in with the area

I will hit again, and drink standing outside.

THE MARQUESS OF ANGELSEY located in Bow is spread over two floors and very recently has undergone a long needed refurbishment. For a long while it has been a quality traditional pub that always dished out great food, drinks and service.
Conveniently located on the corner of Bow Street and Russell Street, close to many theatres it is a perfect magnet to attract theatre audiences to their bar and dining quarters upstairs, and this venue looks very impressive and tastes even better.

We warmed up with a bottle of White French wine and Prosecco:-tasty platter of nibbles consisting of a very generous
