The first years of schooling are among the most important of a child's life. It is during these formative years that children gain the skills and the confidence to allow them to achieve success in later life. At Crowmarsh Gifford Church of England School, we help the children truly become the 'best they can be' at everything they do.
We aim to serve the community by providing education of the highest quality, embedded within a distinctive Christian ethos. We encourage an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promote Christian values in all we do, whilst recognising and developing the diversity of individuals to allow every pupil to achieve their full potential.

We are a school situated in a rural area in the village of Crowmarsh Gifford which is adjacent to the small town of Wallingford. Oxford is 13 miles north and Reading is 12 miles south of the school. The catchment area includes Crowmarsh Gifford and North Stoke but the school also admits pupils from Wallingford and the surrounding area.
I am Maureen Ford and am just completing my first year as Chair of Crowmarsh Gifford School's Governors. I have been involved in education nearly all my life as a student, a teacher, a parent and a governor. Crowmarsh is the second Primary School where I have been a governor and I have also been a governor of a secondary school for over 20 years.
Our school has four house teams that pupils belong to throughout their time at Crowmarsh. Our school council came up with the idea for our house system and the names that we would give to our teams. Our House Leaders and Deputy House Leaders organise house competitions during the year to help raise team spirit and encourage friendly competition.
At Crowmarsh, we take pupil voice very seriously and have a number of leadership positions to help influence policy and practice in school. Below you can find out a little bit more about some of these very important roles. We are a group of elected children across the school who help make decisions regarding a number of key issues.
Providing children with a range of experiences both in and out of school hours gives children the opportunity to find activities that they enjoy and often excel in. We offer a range of clubs from music, art, drama, curriculum, and sports to try ensure a breadth and variety of choice.
Different clubs come up throughout the year and sports will vary depending on the seasons, however children are always able to find something that they will enjoy participating in.
