Built as a hotel in 1873 this family run accommodation has much charm and character. We are sure you will enjoy your stay and leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Nestling within the beautiful Dyfi Valley, with the River Dyfi (Dovey) located behind the Hotel we are situated on the edge of the village of Dinas Mawddwy, Gwynedd, within the stunning scenery of the Snowdonia National Park, just off the A470 midway between Dolgellau and Machynlleth.
Whether you want relaxing, invigorating, energetic or just a get away from it all break, we are here to help make it happen. Relax in our sitting room decorated in a Gentlemans' Club style with leather chesterfields and low tables, or maybe while away the time in our small library. Perhaps try an old fashioned parlour game before dinner!

We had a very delightful long weekend here last week. The hotel itself has been here for 140+ years as I was told, but is very well maintained with charming decor inside. We had breakfast in the dining room where the view was impeccable.
The hotel is run by a lovely family - Gaye and Keith (which I believe is how their names are spelled) are incredibly warm and friendly and made us feel like home. On our second night my friend twisted her ankle and Keith was very kind to promptly offer her some ankle support band for free.
Thank you very much again for hosting and hope we'll see you again very

I have re marked my previous 3 star review.
We didn't stay there. However,we were highly recommended by Siskin Cottage owner Suzy,as we had their cottage for a holiday.
Food divine, host impeccable. Curious as to why we "got under the radar"to be served,as many passers by were turned away.We spent over £100 gladly over 2 visits.😊

An absolute gem of a find, the owner is fabulous fun, and the hotel itself oozes character and charm. Don't go expecting a Brighton boutique hotel, but instead go expecting a country hotel and you will not be disappointed with the large comfortable rooms, excellent service and north Wales on your doorstep (as well as outside your window!).
