St Marys Battle Nursery
The Nursery boasts a large indoor playroom where all children can play together so siblings are not split into different rooms and can see and play with each other. There is a separate play area with sleeping and play areas for our youngest children with sleeping and changing areas.

Our older children benefit from outdoor sessions exploring the local woodland, developing new skills and crafts and learning about the natural environment through first hand experiences.Children use real life tools and equipment under careful supervision and guidance. The freedom of being outside appeals to most children and they flourish when given the independence and opportunity to just 'have a go.'
Services
Set amongst trees and woodland, next to Battle's historic parish Church, our location is perfect for enjoying the outdoors, and has easy access to the High Street, offering excellent learning opportunities such as visiting the shops or going to the library. Inside, the light and airy Church Hall provides a busy yet homely environment to enable your child to play, learn and achieve, as well as areas for rest and quiet time.
The Early Years Foundation Stage Framework is the legal document that all registered childcare providers for under 5's in England follow. It guides us in every detail to ensure that children are kept safe and healthy, are provided with meaningful learning opportunities and are encouraged to reach their potential.
We pride ourselves in offering healthy snacks and home cooked meals every day. Our dishes are based around Children's Food Trust guidance, but also take into account children's favourite foods, as well as specific dietary needs, to create menus that are healthy and enjoyed by all, even the fussiest of eaters can be catered for.
This summer we are making a few changes to the way we offer childcare during the holiday period. We are unable to offer all sessions but will be increasing opportunities on other days, such as Forest School sessions, cooking and gardening, which for the first time will be open to older siblings and friends (up to 8 years old).
First bookings require a registration fee of 20 unless you are claiming a fully funded EYEE place. 15 and 30 hour funding (EYEE) is claimed term time only between 9-4pm. The first 15/30 hours used each week will be funded, additional hours charged at the rate above. The 15 hour funding for 3-4 year olds is universal, other funding are dependent on eligibility and require codes (see below).
