Charmless staff. Not a single smile or word of welcome. That diminishes the experience.
Believe it or not we went back a few nights later because it was nearby - maybe we got them on a bad night (again) but the main wasn’t available, the alternative wasn’t available and the drink wasn’t available. We walked out.

I'm not sure how they have 3 stars. I didn't find this place on yelp my usual routine before I go somewhere to eat. It didn't have a name to the restaurant that I could see. Everything was so delicious. I usually take pix but after a long flight & being hungry I didn't even think about it. The cobra beer was really good and all the food. The service was great! If I have time will definitely come back.

The great aspect of this Indian restaurant is that the owner takes great pride delivering and serving quality authentic food with fresh ingredients and it’s unlike any other Indian restaurant I’ve been to. I say there are Indian restaurants and there is Shapur it’s not a surprise they are award winning in London

London generally offers the best Indian food, but Sitar's food is lackluster at best, and the staff is rude and unprofessional. You know when they say they can't alter the spice level in your food that they are pouring it out of a tin canister of shame somewhere in the back of the establishment. Seriously unimpressed; if you want good Indian go to Haandi in Knightsbridge

I've had a lot of Indian food around the US and with the pure population of Indians in the UK I was expecting faaaar better. Walking around this area the choices were slim on Indian and I had that "white castle" craving where I wasnt going to give up until I found Indian food. First he sat me without a menu and i had to wait like 10 minutes before he even acknowlegded my presence and I still had to ask for one. Then i had to ask him to take my order which i wanted to do quickly because i didnt know when he would come back. Then I asked for the darkest beer and he gave me the lightest

Although the food was good, the wait staff just didn't seem to care that we were there. The restaurant wasn't crowded. The staff was standing around, talking to each other.
I really wanted to rate this restaurant higher, but I know there are places nearby with good Indian food and far superior service.

The restaurant is nice and the waiters are friendly.
I get take-away from here, and they never include utensils unless you specifically request it.
The food is decent, but it's a bit expensive.
They're also open on Sundays, which is more than can be said for the other restaurants on the same street.
Despite all the positives, something is missing from this restaurant. If it were better, I'd eat here a lot more, but for some reason I pass by it every day without thinking much of it. It might be the fact that you have to wait like 20 minutes for your food, even for take-away. Other
