Green Park is a relatively new school, opening fully in 2008; it was formed from the amalgamation of the Powell and Melbourne Schools. Green Park is now known across Kent in its own right, as a school where children make accelerated progress and where staff and children have the opportunity to develop amazing talents. We are blessed to have a staff of wonderfully inspiring and dedicated teachers and teaching assistants as well as a supportive but challenging board of governors.

Green Park is an excellent school and it is a pleasure and a great privilege to have been a governor at the school since it opened in 2008. As Chair of Governors I oversee the work of the Governing Body and meet regularly with the headteacher and other senior leaders. Together, we share a vision for the school which recognises it as a Centre of Excellence not only supporting our own pupils, families and staff but also other schools.
Neville and Jacq, our school dogs, have been part of our school for a while now and newest Bertie the bulldog. Jacq is a greyhound. Her colour is called 'blue'. She is a lovely, calm dog with a kind temperament. Neville loves chasing and run around with Jacq to play.
Since Jacq have been at our fabulous school, the children's good behaviour has increased because they both have a unique way of bringing children with everyday difficulties outside their shell and letting their good side shine. If a child is feeling emotional they can visit Neville or Jacq to relieve anxiety and potential stress.

The government has announced that it is providing funding for academic years 2019 to 2020 to improve provision of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools. This funding - provided jointly by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport - will be allocated to primary school head teachers.
Our school is an exciting place to learn. Our vision is to give every child coming into our school an education they enjoy which prepares them for academic and personal success now and in the future. The aim of our curriculum is to provide a broad and balanced subject range which challenges, engages and children enjoy learning.
The School Council at Green Park exists not only to offer children a voice in their own school, but also to allow them to take a pivotal role in the direction the school takes, and the improvements it makes. The School Council is made up with children who have applied for the role and then been 'interviewed' by their own class.

Lovely school equipped to deal with children from all walks of life. Has disabled access and teachers to help those with additional needs. I have two children there, one is academically gifted and the other has additional needs, however both children are doing well since the staff are able to give extra support to the children who need it. They also support the children who are gifted and recognise their achievements.
The teachers are very friendly and supportive. The head teacher is very down to earth and easy to talk to.
The school itself is incredibly clean and decivingly spacious. The classrooms
