Wingham Primary School
Parish records show Wingham has had a school as far back as 1870. Initially, boys and girls shared the same single storey building at the bottom of School Lane. Over the years the school adapted to the necessary requirements of the times. One such change was a move to a Second World War Army camp. All age groups were now amalgamated onto the same site.

Children now benefit from a well resourced learning environment which includes a library, good sized hall, a large field, spacious playground, an adventure playground, wildlife garden/outdoor classroom, Reception outdoor learning area and other additional learning spaces. Before and after school child care is provided in our additional hall.
Services
On behalf of the pupils, staff and Governing Body, I am delighted to have this opportunity to welcome you to Wingham School. We have earnt an excellent reputation locally for the high standards we achieve. This is evident in our Ofsted Report and in the quality of the corporate life of the school community.
Our children tell us regularly that they learn and remember best when they are outdoors and physically accessing learning. This is the case from reception to year 6. Our ethos is to aim to provide as many opportunities as possible for our pupils to engage in physical, outdoor learning to support the development of their knowledge and understanding across all aspects of the curriculum.
Please read the information below which gives details of our Pupil Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding. The school receives additional funding for pupils who are entitled to claim Free School Meals, for Children In Care, for pupils Post Adoption and for Service Families. In the academic year 2019/2020 the school received a Pupil Premium Total of 28,360.
Children develop a strong sense of self while also learning to play, negotiate and co-operate with others. Children experience a broad and balanced curriculum reinforced by high quality teaching and learning that meets individual needs. We work in partnership with parents so that parents are fully involved as their children's first educators.
Exercise is vital for overall health and wellbeing. In Physical Education (PE) we encourage children to view physical activity as the perfect opportunity to express themselves. Whether in a team or individually, children work at their own pace towards an achievable goal. They also learn about perseverance, confidence and success along the way.

A nice place (I suppose) You can't climb trees ,play with sticks or build stuff. Good place for KS1 because they never get told off. There are some nice year 6 teachers, but the other assistants and teachers are very strict.
