At St Walburga's, we celebrate that we are all members of God's loving family. We do our best to follow Jesus by putting others first. Our school is a happy and safe place where we learn, have fun together, do well and achieve our full potential. To create an environment in which pupils can experience the pleasure that comes from success in learning, thereby building self-confidence and self-motivation.
To help pupils acquire intellectual skills and apply them at levels commensurate with their ability. To prepare pupils for the demands of a rapidly changing society with due regard for equality and opportunity. To provide a climate in which enquiring minds are encouraged to question, investigate and in which creativity can flourish.

Services
It is a great pleasure to welcome you, on behalf of all staff, governors, parents and children to our school website. At our school we aim to provide our children with the best possible education and to develop the whole child during their time with us. The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality.
The school is very fortunate to have a thriving PFA, which provides a link between home and school. All parents, who are automatically members of 'The Parents and Friends Association' are invited to attend meetings or to help out at events throughout the year. Everyone is kept informed through regular newsletters about events and funds raised even if they can't attend the meetings.
Meals should be paid through Parentpay wherever possible, please contact the Office if you require login details. Although we recognise that this cannot be guaranteed, St Walburga's aims to be a Nut-Free school. To reduce the risk to those children and adults who may suffer an anaphylactic reaction if exposed to nuts or seeds to which they are sensitive.
We provide a nutritious breakfast to help them get the most from the day ahead and fun activities for the children to do before school. At 8.45am the children are then taken to the classroom in time for registration. If you are interested in this provision please download or pick up a Registration Pack at the school office.
New technologies have become integral to the lives of children and young people in today's society, both within schools and in their lives outside school. The internet and other digital and information technologies are powerful tools, which open up new opportunities for everyone. These technologies can stimulate discussion, promote creativity and increase awareness of context to promote effective learning.
