The staff have every child's welfare at heart of the support and care we offer and are willing to listen when they want to discuss a problem. Through raising awareness and regularly reviewing out practice, we want try to ensure our school is a place where children and adults are safe from harm.
At Yealmpton Primary School we encourage children and parents to travel to school by cycling, scooting and walking wherever possible. We will be promoting three 'Active Travel ' events each year with the help of the Active Travel Team, a group of keen walkers, cyclists and scooters from Year 6 to Year 1.
Our vision statement is the back drop for all we do in school, including our work with our pupils with additional learning needs. This SEND document gives families information about the variety of ways we ensure we support our children with special educational needs (SEN) to achieve their potential.
We have high aspirations for all our children and ensure that they are challenged and supported to make the best of their talents and abilities, so they achieve well and enjoy their learning. Pupil Premium and Service Premium is government allocated funds to schools to support children from low income families (FSM) and those parents in the Armed Forces, and raise their achievement and close the gap between them and their peers.
