At Beal Vale we are a family and as such, we work together to provide the best opportunities for all children to achieve and grow. We hope that our website will give you a little flavour of life at Beal Vale and help to share the joy we all take in our learning. This is a motto that is lived, every day, by all pupils and staff alike.

We encourage all our children to achieve their full life potential. We accomplish this through the work that we do in the classroom and the opportunities that we provide across the whole range of school life. We believe that when children enjoy their time in school, they are motivated to achieve more in their learning.
Services
Parents can join the library online today for instant access to ebooks, audiobooks and magazines for children. Children's audiobooks have been very popular during lockdown so we have added more to Borrowbox and uLibrary. Research from the Literacy Trust shows that audiobooks can be used to support children's learning.
The Governors and Staff of Beal Vale Primary School believe that we provide the vital transition from home to the outside world, and another step in the learning process which begins the moment a child is born. We believe that Learning is for Life.

We hope to lay the foundation for academic learning, fostering a love of knowledge and a desire to achieve that gives all children the best possible learning opportunities, matched to their individual needs, within a happy and safe environment.Whilst academic achievement is important, we recognise our role in developing the "whole child".
During 2013 Beal Vale Primary School successfully secured National Lottery funding to create an orchard and wildlife area within our school grounds. The children named the area 'Fern Croft'. The project allowed our school to open one of the most innovate community gardening facilities in the area. We aim to provide pupils and families to have acess to green space.
Beal Vale Primary School was opened at Easter 1975 and children and staff moved from the old St Paul's Methodist school adjacent to St Paul's Church on Rochdale Road in Shaw. The nursery remained in the old school, only moving to Beal Vale in 1999. In 1973 workmen excavating for the school unearthed a Second World War air raid shelter, built to protect the residents of Shaw from possible German air raids.
