Thank you for taking the time to visit the website for Hurst Knoll St. James' CE Primary School. We aim to provide a happy, caring and stimulating environment in which every child is challenged and learns academically, spiritually, morally, socially and culturally. We aim to teach our children how to be a good citizen in 21st Century Britain.
Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural development at Hurst Knoll St James' CE Primary School is distinctive because these four aspects of the school curriculum are inextricably rooted in the reality of God the Holy Trinity - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Religious Education curriculum and Collective Worship curriculum in our church school is the place where excellent and distinctive SMSC is seen most clearly.
To be an exemplary role model for the other children through their manner, dress, positive manner and their behaviour and attitude around school. Within school we see all of our Year 6 children as prefects. They wear green jumpers as opposed to the other children in school who wear a blue jumper.
The Year 6 children are expected to set the example for the other children in school through their behaviour, the way they move around school and through their positive, 'can do' attitude.A sensible attitude and pleasant nature ensuring good relationships with all members of the school family.

At Hurst Knoll St. James, we believe all children should be given the opportunities to experience all that 21st Century Britain has to offer. All children in their time with us will experience a range of practical activities that will enhance their social, moral, spiritual and cultural understanding.
At Hurst Knoll St James' CE Primary School our values - Justice, Forgiveness, Hope and Trust - are at the centre of the school's work. Our religious character shapes the way we work and has an impact on the school day and all future plans for the school. We work closely with our partner churches to foster community links and be an active part of the local area.
