We absolutely loved our stay in Byre Cottage, cosy and comfortable with everything you would need for an enjoyable break away. The owners couldn't have done more to make us welcome and their extensive knowledge of the area set us on many happy adventures and treasured memories. Excellent value for money!

Stayed in Home Cottage for 1 week. The cottages are 1/4mile from Aislaby down a well paved but steep single track road. Home cottage has a lovely location looking over the Esk Valley and has a nice paved area in front with picnic table and BBQ. There is parking separate to the other cottages which makes it very private. The cottage was well equipped and clean. The double bed was a little uncomfortable and I think the mattress needs replacing. This is a tranquil location but unfortunately our first few nights were spoilt by two large dogs barking in a compound close to the cottage. After complaining

We have visited before, this time we stayed in the cottage called Home, the views were stunning and the cottage was warm and cosy with a great log burner. It was absolutely perfect for our base to explore the North East.
The kids loved the 5k walk around the grounds down through the fields with the cows, sheep & lamb.
As a returning customer, we love this place, I was impressed with the new covid procedures, cleanliness was amazing.
From an EV point of view, there's free charging at Aldi 3 miles down the road.
Best of all, the views from the toilet are breathtaking... 🤩 #BestToiletViews

What a wonderful time had by all over the Bank Holiday Weekend - a safe and secure gathering was had, using all of the clean, tidy and homely cottages. Sarah and Steve were so helpful and friendly from initial price discussions right through to receiving a parcel over the course of the weekend. Thank you and we hope to return at some point in the near future.

Arrived to what felt like a dressing down from the lady owner- asked not to put nappies down the toilet ( as if) or we wouldn't have a pleasant wk end if we did. Gas fire in farm cottage was burning sut and was told by my brother in law who is a gas engineer to turn it off. The views are amazing- and the local pub is lovely but be warned it's up a… massive hill. The weather is always unpredictable and the owner controls the heating. So we were cold - I did leave her a voice mail saying this but she never replied . More than enough crockery and cutlery- in fact a bit too much clutter for
