Please avoid booking anything during these uncertain times with covid, we had booked quite awhile ago ( before the new variant) they asked for the fully amount up front £86, unfortunately my partner went down with covid last week and had to cancel, I tried to ask for 50% refund as i appreciated they need to cover cost of food, but were very unsympathetic, ( was happy to have a credit note) and and refused any sort of refund , saying I knew the risk when booking , which like I said wasnt as bad as it is now, just want people to be aware they could loose all their money.

Disappointed this visit, I have used Spikes and the restaurant regularly over the past few years, but lacked the sparkle this visit, the staff seemed under pressure which reflected on the service, I appreciate we, are in the middle of a pandemic, but the restaurant needed additional staff.
I went for the Lamb curry, which in my opinion was tasteless, lacked seasoning, and was served with prawn crackers, not a poppadoms and chuckney as stated on the menu, I had to ask, I did the get them!!!
Overall disappointed

Lovely place to stay, clean comfortable and a spa as well. The breakfast was well presented with plenty of choice and good service. The bar was a welcome retreat after being out all day. Staff were polite and helpful would defiantly stay again.

We used to go to the gym here & it was great, Covid came about no more gym :( I couldn't go with the times you were open anymore - being in full time work. Such a shame waiting to rejoin. Question is when though. 5 stars when we were going to the gym 3 stars now as we go round in circles trying to rejoin.

A nice hotel with modern comfortable rooms and air conditioning. I found the hotel to be well cared for with excellent food. The pool and spa look good although on this occasion no had no time to indulge. I thought the towels could have been a little better and the bearings in the extractor fan in the bathroom were noisy and about to fail. Apart from that all was great, the WiFi connection is super fast and reliable which is great for business travellers. Set back from the road the room was very quiet & I slept very well. Additional nice touches included alcohol gel, a fridge in the room and a

I'd have given 5 stars, but our 1st breakfast was a shambles. But when we did get it, it was wonderful. But it meant that we missed our Tee time, but the pro shop were excellent and managed to slot us in. We will definitely return. The course is In Beautiful condition, but the rough is very high. Take lots of balls if your not confident off the tee

Had a nice meal in their main bar and restaurant. Was very quiet, so we got served fast… good vale for money. All table service due to Covid. Had to book an early table as they only serve food to 2030h which is a bit too early really…
