All depends what you personally want. The Hotel is dated and the decor is tired. Notwithstanding that the Hotel is clean and welcoming, the bedrooms and en suite clean and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities. The Staff are very pleasant and helpful and the food is delicious. I enjoyed my first stay and am booked to return for several days. It provides all I require and more than some more expensive higher rated Hotels. I will be booking again in the New Year. The Hotel provides all I require in ample quantities.

I have been here several times, convenient for care home to visit family. Some of the rooms are small and tired, some large and lovely with fridge. Room 114 the latter, and has a bath.

The staff make this a 5 star review..the hotel itself is very dated but kept clean..the breakfast is a typical English breakfast and always well cooked and plenty of choice. Well stocked bar where you can also buy bar food, the bar food is quite basic but ok if you don't fancy eating out at one of the many eating places that Bournemouth has to offer....Nice family hotel.

Great stay. Great room. Great breakfast. Great location. Great price. Great service. A re-vamp of the decor would have gotten a fifth star but this wasn't of detriment to the visit.

Nice hotel but very dated , Nice quite rooms ,nice reception staff,Nice breakfast staff, Nice buffet breakfast, Only serves fried eggs, No black pudding. Gym in a very old rundown state, The pool is open from 8am, We went at 9-15 and were told we couldn't use it as the man had only just put chemicals in, It's terrible to advertise a time yet because staff were late we lost our chance to use the pool .The pool is small and has dirt in the bottom,The ceiling is very poor and the mirrors have never been cleared. The jacuzzi is never turned on only put on to mix the chemicals , (why ? ) , The restaurant

Stayed here over the Bournemouth Half Marathon weekend. Great location for the finish. Also, good location to get to the beaches.
Rooms have issues. The shower was terrible, next to no water coming out. Bed very uncomfortable, and pillows that were paper thin - considered using towels and clothes to make up a pillow. Housekeeping did deliver extra the next day, hoped for a better nights sleep, but the walls were as thin as the pillows and could hear everything next door.
As mentioned here, the decor needs attention.
Breakfast was ok, but they won’t serve a minute before 8.
Didn’t use the

Overpriced!!! It was within 15 minutes walking distance of beach and/or town centre if you are young or fit. The whole place looked tired and was in need of a complete overhaul and redecoration, although to be fair they had quite a nice pool. There was a gym of sorts but the equipment was a little old. The family room we were in had a large double bed and a fold out single. The double bed was comfortable with a very nice mattress, but the single bed's mattress was old, stained and with several tears in it. Cooked breakfast was included in price and you were served by a waitress. The food was average

Really enjoyed our stay. The staff are polite, helpful and knowledgeable, the hotel is immaculately clean in both communal areas and bedrooms/bathrooms, and the breakfast was delicious. Beds were comfy and we got a great night's sleep. Plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits in the room, as well as an iron/ironing board and hairdryer.
It doesn't look like it has been decorated since the 80's but this is part of it's charm and made us quite nostalgic.
Overall, would we stay here again? YES!

It was an OK place to stay, nice and clean. The decor was dated, from the early 1980s and no mushrooms with breakfast. Pool was fun . I would stay again but maybe find another place to eat breakfast 🤔.

My husband and I made a critical error involving this establishment and I wish to alert other travelers.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES make a non refundable reservation and expect ANY concessions on the part of this hotel.
Due to unforeseen issues we had to cancel our reservation.
I personally called the establishment, explained our dilemma, giving them 8 days notice and the management punted me off to Booking.com inferring it was a Booking.com issue not the hotel.
Needless to say I was not given a refund .i was extremely disappointed and wish to make others aware of the hotel's iron clad policy

A very bog standard hotel that just didn't really make an impression on me, a good price for central Bournemouth though!

Stuffy staff in places, the dinner menu was incredibly limited, the pool was very cool, and just felt a bit dated. The room was comfortable enough, it would do for a business stay, but I wouldn't want to stay there!

In truth, I've only used this hotel for work purposes; training courses, away days and Christmas lunch.
The food is very good, if served in a slightly awkward way, a bit like a carvery, but not. When there's a whole buch of you it can be tricky but with team work, it sorts itself out!
There is a small dining room with a large long table which in which we had our Christmas lunch. Silver service, very tasteful darkwood decor and a roaring fire. Lovely.
The conference suite is good, but the door is in the wrong place. The furnings are comfotortable.
The Ladies is good, clean and simple.
