As an Edwardian building, the whole ethos of the renovation was to reflect Edwardian design principles, whilst providing a contemporary twist. Derby Manor, once used by Lord Derby when visiting Bournemouth, endeavors to reflect his keen interest in horses and horse racing. It is hoped that the design provides a warm, relaxing and inviting atmosphere to all visitors.

First of all, I must say, thank you Veronika, you are amazing person, very friendly and even she was wearing the mask, I felt her smile on my arrival. The atmosphere is fantastic in this hotel, very clean, in Aston room I felt like in the Castel, nice colours, warm, comfortable bed, the bar and breakfast areas lovely, the entire building itself it's beautiful. I have seen something similar in Paris and I am speechless. Congratulations for the owners! Thank you for everything! ❤ I would love to come back.

Have just watched ‘James’ on ‘four in a bed’ and if the appalling way he behaved throughout every stay then I wouldn’t stay at this hotel if it was the last place available on earth. He was arrogant, self absorbed and a wind I’m merchant. Can’t believe he can run a hotel / business like this but maybe mummy does it all for him.

Newly refurbished hotel in a quiet location. Every room has its own decoration, ours was one of the biggest.
Interesting to be in a house with history.
Breakfast was good.
The bathroom had two big steps down and glass (though opaque) door without any lock or even catch - it felt not private enough. Simple cutch would help against the door bouncing back against the wall.
The restaurant only serves breakfast.
The bar had no drink menu and the choice was absolute basic for that type of accomodation.
The parking is too small.

Gorgeous boutique hotel, friendly and helpful staff. There are no lifts, but its only 2 floors. We went off peak, so the reception and bar aren't manned all the time, but staff come quickly when you ring. No phone in the rooms to contact reception, but it isn't far to walk. 5 min walk to overcliff Road and another 5 mins down the zig zag path to the beach, but there are no amenities in the area or you can forgo the zig zag and walk 20 mins to the pier where there is plenty going on. Really nice cooked breakfast but they offer no other meals there.

Absolutely stunning hotel with really friendly staff. I was attending a course in Bournemouth and after looking around decided on Derby Manor and wow it felt like a home from home for the week my mum came with me for a break and was on her own through the day and she really enjoyed it and felt welcome by the staff and the guests there. If I’m in the area again I will definitely stay here again

We stayed here for 2 nights and had a lovely time. The staff were all very helpful and attentive. Room was very clean and very well decorated. Breakfast was lovely and food was excellent. The only downside was we could hear next rooms tv (I don't know if maybe they just had their volume super loud?) And also having to go round to reception to order a drink from the bar? I'm not sure if this is bcos of covid or? Aside that, lovely hotel and 2 mins in a cab to the town. On a sunny day it would probs be a 20 min walk.
